Watching last night, there was an overhead shot of Lance from a helicopter. Painted on the road in big letters:

"RIP THEIR BALLS OFF LANCE"

And that's what he did.

Today USPS destoyed. Floyde Landis set the tempo for the last 30km with asebado right their with him...leading their well, leader Lance Armstrong. At the top of the climb Landis took off as well as Ullrich down the descent. Armstrong, LAndis, Basso, Ullrich all chasing each other down, Armstrong trying to give his helper Landis the stage win... But 3rd place GC rider Kloden takes off within the last kilometer. Just feet before the line he slows thinking he would win it, until he noticed too late armstrong about to kick his ass from behind. Lance caught him at the line and won by 1/2 bike length. It was unbelievable :o :pirate:

That was a great finish today. I thought he was going to concede the stage to Kloden, but that last burst was incredible! My legs hurt just watching it!!!!

How cool is that....knowing you've got it won.

Lance hangs back, relaxes and lets everyone else fight for the stage. Wins the overall by 6 minutes plus.

Lance is the man...

I can't help myself.

French TV s**ks. They barely covered Lance today . . . and they did NOT show him crossing the finish line, riding into the history books.

OLN showed a brief clip, right at the end, of him riding across. I hope their show tonight will let us see more of Lance. Last year, I think the television crews thought it would be Lance's last hurrah, so they showed him all morning. Not today.

No, his name is not Jacques Anquetil, Eddie Merckx, Miguel Indurain, Bernard Hinault or even the great Laurent Fignon, but winning this race 6 times in a row -- something none of the men above did, commands respect, or should, even from the snotty French.

Yes, I know Lance doesn't ride the classics . . . or all year. . .he only rides the Tour. But that shouldn't take away from the fact that he has done what no other could ever do.

Blech on French TV.

Well CBS snaked the main coverage today. They have done it for the past 3 years. OLN has spectacular coverage and devotes their entire station practically to the Tour for a month, and CBS shows the last day...sell-outs :-?

I just watched the CBS version. It was good, but egads. Let OLN do what it does best. . . cover the TOUR!!!!

The CBS interview with Lance last night was good. Can't wait to see the OLN one with Phil and Paul, though.

And . . . you have to wonder what Cheryl and Lance were whispering about?

Viva Lance.
