CD Burning question

Hi. Does anyone here know how to get the song titles on the CD, rather than Track 01, etc. I've been using Roxio and it doesn't do that as far as I can tell. I've traded for a few that have the song names so apparently it can be done.

Thanks

Nissan was great last night.

I don't believe you can, at least in the version I am using.

whenever i burn a cd...(cd to cd) that is manufactured it comes up.. as far as taking a cd that was burned or out of your files.. if it isn't part of that cd or the file you will have to manually put the songd in.. :-?

That information isn't ever on a CD - it's in the software you use to play them.

On commercial CDs the name of the songs isn't encoded on the CD... your playback software reads the "barcode" of the CD and then attaches to a database via the internet to load the song titles into your playback software.

So if you're burning your own CDs the only thing you can do is enter the information manually into the software so it displays correctly on playback.

I have Nero 6. Is one of them what I can use for Manual entry? I'd like to try it once.
Thanks

I use Roxio, but for playback and ripping to harddrive in MP3 for my player, I use Intervideo WinRip... and it has the CDDB function so it lists the song title, artist, and album...
