Mine too. Not sure where it came from when Jimmy said it at Nissan. I don't know that he's ever been there.

It does seem odd that Jimmy said that WV is one of his favorite places, as he seems to be more of a beach goer, and WV is known for its rolling mountains and beautiful scenery. None the less, I was excited when I heard that at Nissan because I am from WV.
We sailed from the port of indecision

Days turn into years as we tried to fool our fears, But to the port of indecision I returned.

I would be willing to bet that he played a gig or two in WV back in the early days...JohnsonA wrote:Mine too. Not sure where it came from when Jimmy said it at Nissan. I don't know that he's ever been there.

He was doing that "Southern Thang" and being gracious..Desdamona wrote:Ummm... I wasn't listening to the show (because I was hanging out
with the Sauce Boss that night) but is there any chance Jimmy was
joking? Or that he was just talking about Virginia instead? I mean,
I've been to WVa dozens of times...

Yep, he really said it. MelliJellyBean, I just noticed you were from Mo'town...and you're right WV is beautiful and a haven for outdoor adventures. I spent a many of years running around the Mo'town and near by hills having a blast...certainly miss them. I still go back regularly and visit my best friend from college that still lives there. And every year her and her husband come down for the Nissan show with us.MelliJellyBean wrote:WOW!! He said that??? HOw cool!
Ya know...West Virginia is quite a beautiful and relaxing state...if you love the outdoors, its a great place to be.
Not that I'm biased or anything!!!

Since I have grown up in WV my whole life, the state becomes a slight pain from all the harrassment and criticism that comes from being from the state. However, it was really cool to hear JB say that at the Nissan show, because WV does in fact have its own mystique to it. The only thing is, that with a combination of always being in the "wilderness" and Jimmy Buffett music, I have become mezmorized with the beaches of the Americas. Nonetheless, it was good to hear JB talk about the Mountain State.

Well that's awesome! Wish I could have heard that, regardless of whether he was kidding or not. I mean, why shouldn't Jimmy like WV?PHShelley wrote:Yep, he really said it.
