I cheated and bought LTC today from a buddy who owns a music store. Interesting thing...on the inside, Jimmy has a story about Hank Sr. And he talks about the new country boys "following him to the beach". He loves it, we must too or why is it selling. Piece of Work. Great Song. Boats to Build will stay at the top of my list.
BTW, Can't we be nice???

No one spoke for you. Beerman spoke about you and it was the truth as he and many people see it after months and months of reading the majority of your posts that are something other than you cutting and pasting of articles. It is an opinion and not anyone speaking for you. I'm not going to argue this point with you because aparently after I left this afternoon and the fact argument was picked up by others proves that I am not the only one that has the same issue with you.
Personally if so many people pointed out to me numerous times where I was rude to someone I'd take a good long hard look in the mirror and think that maybe there may be something to it and check myself and change my approach to people, but that's me not Jahfin and obviously not any of us that has had issue with the tone and manner of his posts and interaction with us. From my perspective Jahfin really dosn't care what anyone thinks about him or if we like him so we're doing nothing but banging our head against a brick wall trying to make him understand if he were a little nicer he'd be received in a more positive manner. Some people just don't get it so let's all just drop it and go on. Jahfin this is my opinion and just as you don't feel it is fair for us to argue your opinion please don't argue mine unless you feel you have to get the last word in.
To everyone, including myself, I suggest that if we want to discuss someone or something we know Jahfin will take issue to go to COB,O in church chat discussion or coconut telegraph as he can no longer post there and just leave him alone. I know it's hard to do but maybe if we leave him alone he'll calm down and we can do the same.
So Jahfin you think if we did that you could quit making statements like this:
Because in making a statement like this which is actually aimed at those that take issue with you all you are doing is insulting EVERYONE who posts at BN - including those that have defended you. It dosn't matter who said what to you anymore this statement is very broad and basically includes all that post here. Do you actually dislike EVERYONE that posts at BN? The majority of the people that have issue with you aren't bad people at all either. They are very good careing people and they are tired of you hurting their feelings as well as the feelings of others. They care about people.Jahfin wrote:Welcome to BuffettNews where if you don't say what people want you to say they'll say it for you.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
I haven't done anything wrong, you take my comments and twist them to your own liking even when whatever the matter may be doesn't involve you. For your information, PHbeerman and myself have resolved this situation just as Land Shark and I resolved the previous situation you felt the need to butt into. I've asked before and I will ask again, please get off my case. Surely you have something better to do than play BN police for every post I make here.ph4ever wrote:Jahfin wrote:I don't have a problem in the least. I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.

I have defended Jahfin in the past and I continue to do so...
He stated his opinion of BuffettNews based on how he's been treated here....and why can't he....
The ones who argue with him are the same 10 or so people who always do it...just leave him alone....
I would like to reply to a lot of topics around here, but I usually keep quiet because I feel I usually will lose or be beaten down. There are certain people on this site that no matter what you say---you will be proven wrong or put down.....opinions can be spoken here....but watch out---and be prepared to take it (without resply is the preferred way)...
I love BuffettNews and I have been around awhile, and I've met many of you at the shows... and I believe there are some great people out there...The topics on this site are interesting and this is the place for the up-to-the-minute news on Jimmy...and I can't do without it...
Like I have said before....We should all practice what we preach. If BuffettNews is truly a loving and caring site....we shouldn't return hate with hate.....we should try to show it a little love....kill it with kindness...or maybe hold our responses.
Now back to topic....
I agree the song is great!!

Wow, my thread kinda got hijacked over night huh? All I said is how great the song was, after further listening yesterday, I think I may have to move to Conky Tonkin, and I don't even like Clint Black that much. Great disc, gotta go buy it at lunch today, after a good week of listening I will have my top songs again next week!

Hi Jahfin,
We have never met but I would like to know your opinion on this:
If it happened today, the story of D-Day might read something
like this...
June 6, 1944. -NORMANDY-
Three hundred French civilians were killed and
thousands more wounded today in the first hours of
America's invasion of continental Europe. Casualties
were heaviest among women and children.
Most of the French casualties were the result of
artillery fire from American ships attempting to
knock out German fortifications prior to the landing
of hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. Reports
from a makeshift hospital in the French town of St.
Mere Eglise said the carnage was far worse than the
French had anticipated and reaction against the
American invasion was running high.
"We are dying for no reason," said a Frenchman
speaking on condition of anonymity. "Americans can't
even shoot straight. I never thought I'd say this,
but life was better under Adolph Hitler."
The invasion also caused severe environmental
damage. American troops, tanks, trucks and machinery
destroyed miles of pristine shoreline and thousands
of acres of ecologically sensitive wetlands. It was
believed that the habitat of the spineless French
crab was completely wiped out, threatening the
species with extinction.
A representative of Greenpeace said his
organization, which had tried to stall the invasion
for over a year, was appalled at the destruction,
but not surprised.
"This is just another example of how the military
destroys the environment without a second thought, "
said Christine Moanmore. "And it's all about
corporate greed."
Contacted at his Manhattan condo, a member of the
French government-in-exile who abandoned Paris when
Hitler invaded said the invasion was based solely on
American financial interests. "Everyone knows the
President Roosevelt has ties to big beer," said
Pierre LeWimp. "Once the German beer industry is
conquered, Roosevelt's beer cronies will control the
world market and make a fortune."
Administration supporters said America's aggressive
actions were based in part on the assertions of
controversial scientist Albert Einstein, who sent a
letter to Roosevelt speculating that the Germans
were developing a secret weapon, a so-called "atomic
bomb." Such a weapon could produce casualties on a
scale never seen before and cause environmental
damage that could last for thousands of years.
Hitler has denied having such a weapon and
international inspectors were unable to locate such
weapons even after spending two long weekends in
Germany.
Shortly after the invasion began reports surfaced
that German prisoners had been abused by Americans.
Mistreatment of Jews by Germans at so-called
"concentration camps" has been rumored but so far,
remains unproven.
Several thousand Americans died during the first
hours of the invasion and French officials are
concerned that uncollected corpses pose a public
health risk. "The Americans should have planned for
this in advance," they said. "It's their mess and we
don't intend to clean it up."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
I'm glad the soldiers who fought and died so bravely
on D-Day and throughout World War II did so decades
ago. In the 1940s war was hell, but at least our
troops didn't have to fight the folks back home.

You know, the irony that the people who have complained loudest about the negativity around here (ph4ever, Fribble) are the ones that are the quickest to attack Jahfin is not lost on me.
I'm really not trying to attack anyone, but everyone please- I really don't care who hates whom around here, this is a big site, and we can all coexist peacefully. Just stop the madness, please. If someone you don't like posts something you disagree with, either keep it nice and agree to disagree and let it drop, take it off the board (to PM or email), or ignore it completely. There are only about 10 of the hundred or so people here that are actually involved in this mess, and the rest of us shouldn't have to put up with it. It's really not fun for anyone, and isn't fun why we're all here?

Maybe Toby should have Will write his records...
Toby Keith has put a LOT of his own money and free time to help support the widows of American Soldiers AND boost their morale by going over there to Iraq (risking his own life).
Yea Kenny Chesney too!! give me another reason to listen to your music "Island style" yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaw !
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.
