Enough LTC talk...what about the next studio album?

Post by ChrTh »

If the last track of LTC is any indication, the next studio album we should see from Jimmy will be his more "traditional" fare. Here's what I'd like to see on it:

Jimmy and Mac's 5 o'clock somewhere (not a live version, but a studio version)
Natives are Restless
Burn that Bridge
Acoustic CILCIA (like he's been playing at concerts)

Any other ideas?

I don't think after MIM that we will see any studio album with "old" songs on it for a while. If we are lucky we will get 2 or 3 albums of new original songs before we get remakes of "old" songs.

I am in favor of more new signs and especially like the thought of more acoustic songs but you have to be careful what you wish for. Anyone else still haunted by "Math Sucks!"?

Big Rig
Cheeseburger In Paradise
What If The Hokey Pokey Is What It Really Is About?
You'll Never Work In Dis Business Again

ALL PERFORMED ACOUSTIC!! :o

Oh, yesterdays are over my shoulder,
So I can't look back for too long.
There's just too much to see waiting in front of me,
and I know that I just can't go wrong

;)

I'm sorry, this thread is borne out of a deep depression that studio version of the songs I listed don't exist (ever?) ... unless I'm missing something

EDIT: WHOOPS, Burn that Bridge is on Riddles in the Sand ...cross that one off the list ;)

Gotta go with phjrsaunt on this one. Let the darn thing sink in a little. I mean, at least take the trash out that contains the shrinkrap before asking for another album. I can see it now, 14 months of "When's the new album coming out?!?" (besides the obligatory "will he play GW?")

It's a great tactic (also did it today in this thread. I mean, how can you argue with Jimmy?!?!

Can't help it, I'm a visionary. Heck, the wrappings not even in the trash yet... :D

Color me confused: "Will he play GW"?

Consider yourself colored.
Don't worry about the GW reference, that was meant for our wonderful phriends in Boston (you know who you are).

AH, Great Woods. Sorry, I think of it as the Tweeter Center (lived in Boston for 8 years, but I succumb easy to corporate marketing)
