My brother-in-law is a champion archer. Enters tournaments all over the country. He doesn't have much time for it with his new job, but at least at that job he gets an AK-47!

Same here. I love archery hunting, closely followed by muzzleloader hunting (BTW - by the term "muzzleloader", I mean flintlock. Any weapon that has a 100% chance of firing should not be considered a primitive weapon, IMO). I only use the rifle if I need to be sure that there will be meat in the freezer.

I have a percussion cap. About a 80% chance of firing. In-lines are not allowed in our camp.

Good man. I'm not a big fan of the caps, but absolutely LOATHE the in-lines. One thing I love about PA - our primitive weapons seasons means primitive weapons only. Flintlock only, open iron sights, ball/patch/powder - no scopes, no fiber optic sights, no conicals or sabots, no pyrodex pellets. I've missed ALOT of deer in this season, but it's the most fun I've ever had in the woods.

My best friend is an ex-Marine. He had a collection of weapons that was impressive to those of us who collect. When he got married to his gun hating wife, she forced him to sell them all. I got as many of them as I could afford at the time. He kept a few hidden from her because he didn't want his home defenseless. She found them, completely went off and he got rid of those too.
Last year, his house was broken into at night. When he realized there was an intruder in his home, he got his baseball bat and headed to his children's rooms to possibly defend them. He was confronted in the hall by some cracked out @$%# who shot him on sight. Luckily the pc of dirt used a .22 and left after one shot that hit him in the shoulder. He is ok now and owns several guns again. One being a home defense riot gun (which he could have used that night). Funny, his gun hating wife now likes him having them and even took lessons on shooting. It's amazing how people change their opinion when reality hits them right in the face, or in his case, shoulder.
I hope I never have to shoot a home invader, but wouldn't hesitate to if the situation merited it........

I hunt both waterfowl and upland. Out here the waterfowling is not the greatest, pheasants have a hard time with the winters. But man Chucker hunting is the best.

Stuttgart, Arkansas is the duck capital of the US. My grandparents owned rice and popcorn farms down there and they get thick when there is good water. I've always enjoyed the ducks my grandmother prepares (she has one of those old guarded family recipes) but you have to be careful with that d@mned steel shot. 8)

I use the good stuff, Corona baby. It does miss-fire sometimes due to the limes.

By the way, it is unregistered.
