I got me a story to tell y'all....its about "recession recess", wives and husbands and remodeling....and Parrot Karma

Here goes:

In 1992, I had the privledge of meeting Bubba back stage during the "Recession Recess" Tour...anyone remember that one? Any way, I came away with a prized possession...an autographed concert poster by the man himself. I gave it to my honey for safe keeping and she promised to get it framed for posterity.

Well, I survived that recession, figured out an occupation for awhile but somehow my signed poster went missing. For the last 12 years, my sweetheart has denied that I ever gave it to her. Alas, my parrot karma was not seriously impacted and Bubba kept cranking out tunes to calm the winds and rest the soul...but a special moment was missing in my life

Well, after sending two kids to college, this year turned out to be the year of the remodel of the casita...a major undertaking. Parrot Karma must have been in the wind for as we began moving my wifes " Stuff" (Remember George Carlin's admonition " Its her stuff and your s***") out of her study, lo and behold, there on the bottom of the stack of stuff that she has not touched in years....was my Recession Recess poster...

Well, we survived remodeling, no doubt due to the Parrot Karma that found its way back home. The little lady now has a newly remodeled house...and I got me a new BBQ and Bar out of the deal with a parrot swinging from the beams above...

Ain't life Grand?

Great story....glad the poster turned up (hmmm, that makes me wonder what I might find in my boxes of stuff!)
