I am wondering since the next tour stop is Chicago (ill be at the thurs show) Now that LTC has been released if Jimmy will be playing any more songs off his new album? what are your thoughts? Will the set list change any now that LTC is out in stores?

I would think so.
Also, didn't Mailboat also say Chicago was one of the dates they were going to record to release a live album for.

I'm going to guess not really. He has such a huge catalog, plus the "songs he has to play to get out of town alive" that I doubt he'd add any more new songs than he was doing earlier on the tour.

I don't think the setlist will be that different. He usually only changes it at the beginning of each tour.

But they did also say that Indy would be released as well- and we had songs rotated in and out of the main set list 5 and 7 days before the CD came out.

One would think that if they record Indy, Chicago, and the other cities that it would have to be changed a little for each town. Why would they release the same set list from different cities? Any idea if any of the live albums released now from the same tour have the same set list?

It's not the exact same, but it's the usual template with a few songs rotated in and out.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did. I think he did 7-8 in Chicago when FSOTW was released!

I think we will see (actually hear) some additional songs from LTC in Chicago. Not only are they the first concerts since the disc was released, but there are two concerts in the same city and he usually does try to make some changes when that happens. I would think that between the two nights we will hear all the LTC songs he has already done and a couple of additional ones. And remember he is likely to throw a Steve Goodman song in at least one night-especially since this is 20 years since he passed away.

I have been to Chicago the past 3 years, there is only one show the setlist was a little shady in my mind (hmm, that darn tequila and absurd numbers of jello shots, etc). It always seems like he changes the setlist for it, but it is always a great show. I am definitely all for more LTC songs, it will be nice to hear them as duets with the coral reefers.

Holy cow! I can't believe he didn't do Coast of Carolina at Alpine Valley!

I sure hope he puts it back on the set list before Jones Beach!

I suspect he will adjust the set list a little as he does for most shows.
I normally get to both shows in Chicago and he changes a few songs between the nights. More than 6 from the new album is doubtful.
