I feel the need to point out that the Patriots didn't win until they got a NY coach. Belichek was defensive coordinator for the Giants AND the Jets.

OMG I just have the hardest time even thinking about football in August let alone July . . . it's still so hot and football is such a great cold weather sport.

I'm still living in the moment . . . http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewto ... 09&start=0

Which just goes to show that DEFENSE wins championships. How else do you explain Tampa Bay and Baltimore's Super Bowl wins? Even the year that the Rams won their defense was in the top 5. With a great defense the only job of the offense is to give the defense a breather. Hell, the Ravens went how many games without scoring an offensive touchdown that year, and they still won those games.

These so called stats are all records...where are Brady's? Rings don't mean s***, you can't say someone sucks because they don't have a ring thats just ignorant.

..............and the Giants didn't win until they got a New England coach! :D Parcells was a NE assistant in the early 80's before going to NY and got his nickname "The Tuna" while in New England!

Gibbs is back, his old staff is back and for the first time in almost a decade I am actually excited about the Redskins chances this season. Playoffs would be nice but being 8-8 the first year back to me would be terrific. Next year we can think super bowl but I think this year is going to be a get to know one another deal. Hail to the Redskins!

Lonligirl I respect the fact your from RI but you have no clue about sports or football. These guys play the games to win titles not to get records, I guarantee Marino would give up every record he has for one of Bradys rings. And who is to say Brady wont break any of Marinos records its only his 4 year in the league.

I am not from RI, I am from Hollywood, Fl...just outside of Miami. I may not know a lot about sports, but I do know that just because you do not have a SuperBowl ring does not mean that you s***...and that is my point. Marino does not ...did not.....s***.

Ok I will concede he did not s***, he was a hall of fame qb but the fact remains that he will never be mentioned with the likes of montana favre and elway becuase he never won the ring.

I think since the NFL team closest to me are the Jaguars, it would be best for me to stay out of this thread! :o

I was a season ticket holder until 3 yrs ago, when they forgot how to play football, and Coughlin forgot he wasn't God......

Dont sleep on the jaguars, they could be a good team this year, they are young and improving, especially with that qb Leftwich.
