Interleague Play

Just curious, what does everyone think of Interleague play in baseball? Is it an asset? Has it worn out it's welcome? Does it take away from the excitement of the All Star Game and the World Series? Do you enjoy watching Tampa Bay play Milwaukee? Just curious

I think it's good for teams with natural geographic rivalries, like the Mets & Yankees, Cubs & White Sox, Indians & Reds (Ohio folks help me out, I think that's a big intrastate rivalry, isn't it?). But what's good for a handful of teams doesn't really make sense for everybody else.
I don't think it takes away from the excitement of the World Series as much as the fact that fans of most teams go into the season knowing they don't have a chance in hell of getting to the Series.

I think interleague play is great. Actually I would like to see more games played between the NL and AL. I think it gives fans a chance to see teams in person that they may not get a chance to see if it wasn't for interleague.
As far as taking away from the world series and all star game, in my opinion it doesn't. If you look at the NFL each AFC team plays a NFC team 4 times during the season. It sure doesn't take away from the superbowl.
Also I have heard people say, "who wants to see a meaningless match up between the Expos vs Devil Rays or Rockies vs Tigers"? Whether you have interleague or not, you are still going to have meaningless match up between teams in the same league that no one wants to see. Of course this is just MY opinion.

Those rivalries used to be handled by some teams with a couple of exhibition games after breaking camp and before the start of the regular season.

I sure enjoyed watching the Rockies come from behind victory over the Tigers and the fireworks that weekend!
But IMHO, interleague play is best limited to 7 games and played in October.

I feel like it's definitely run it's course. I loved it in the beginning, but I don't even get jacked up to see YANKEES/METS anymore.

Guys in both sports have something in common...can't understand em when they talk!
Difference is, hockey players are hard to understand because they have no teeth. NBA players are hard to understand because they talk like idiots.

PLUS ALOT OF HOCKEY PLAYERS ARE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES,I THINK THAT IS A DECENT EXCUSE.
BEING FROM THIS COUNTRY AND NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH IS INEXCUSABLE.AT THEIR PAY I THINK THEY CAN AFFORD ENGLISH LESSONS
