no.. I live in OH. you would think it was the end of the world here too. I have yet to see a really good blizzard here. Chances are that a basic "6", temp dropping to the basement, and winds whipping up drifts that are more than the finger variety would be enough to cripple the City for a week. (I should also say that this would not be the case if it happened in Cleeeeeveland.)

Well, it's not like you people can drive anyway, but when the roads don't get salted before snow or plowed after, what do you expect? :P

Is this thread ever going to die? It went from Rules of the South, to Civil War 2, East vs. West, to hockey? :o

Hang on Ringling... We have had some doozies in the past. Were you around in 1978? There were drifts outside my grandparents house that were over 12' tall. Schools were called off for a week and there was absolutely no traffic on the roads except snowmobiles.

We have had some good storms in the past. Granted, the past ten winters or so have been very mild but in the 80's and 70's we had some good ones.

Us old folks remember

As long as I blame it on something, I won't have to take that first step; admitting I have a (GASP!) problem. :pirate:

Yeah, I heard about these... about the same time that it was never above 0 in northern Minnesota for 40 days in a row... and we got with a few blizzards back then too. :D

Just thinking that the only one that came close to justifying sheer pants-soiling terror on the part of folks from California with relatives in the Donner party was back in 1999, and even that wasn't that bad. :D

so you are referring to the need to revoke about 90% of the OH DLs until their owners have been retrained?

Yes. But I'm also ok with a barricade that just keeps them out of Indiana. (mostly joking)

No, they are not... people here don't have the excuse of having to learn the driving manual in a second language... well...
