I'm always at the beach in spirit..........I've been to many but the OR coast is my most recent. The one that never ceases my mind is from my childhood. My parents used to ask us kids if we wanted to go to the "sanova beach" It used to boggle my mind.........but now I get it

Beach list

Post by Labradorable »

USA: Marathon & Bahia Honda in the Keys; Naples, Venice, Dania, Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miami Beach, Daytona, FL; Dana Point, Huntington Beach (Surf City, USA!), Laguna Beach, Redondo Beach, CA, The entire NJ Coastline (I grew up there).

CARIBBEAN: Lindbergh, Magen's Bay, Frenchman's Reef, Coki Point, Secret Harbour- St. Thomas USVI; Trunk Bay, Leinster Bay, Waterlemon Bay, Coral Bay- St. John USVI; White Bay- Jost Van Dyke, BVI; Honeymoon Beach (I forget which Island); Marina Cay BVI

WEST INDIES: Trinidad & Tobago- Trinidad has only small, not very safe beaches when I was there 20 years ago, but Tobago is protected land and is lovely.

If you're only going to one beach, I would pick Marina Cay in the British Virgin Islands. There is a small amount of housing on the small, perfect island in gorgeous, unspoiled snorkling waters, a wonderful restaurant, and a Pusser's Rum Outpost (all 3 rooms of it) to pick up gifities for the folks back home. WARNING: it may spoil you for all other beaches.

Have fun- even if it's a kiddy pool next to the sandbox, Island Time is in your head & heart, WHEREVER you live!

Lets see,

I live on the coast of course so here goes:

Ocean City, MD
Assateqgue Island, MD
Stinky Beach, MD
Fenwick Island, DE
Rehobeth Beach, DE
Broadkill Beach, DE
Virgina Beach, VA

Visted beaches in these areas that I don't know all the names of:

Oregon's coastline
San Diego area, Mission Bay I think?
Florida, can't count them all! Key West, etc.
Cozumel
Belize, Caye Caulker
Costa Rica, Playa Bonita (Pretty Beach)

I wonder if that's it? That's all that was memorable I guess! LOL This is a cool thread, I like to see all the places people travel to for my future travel ideas!
I got a carribean soul I can barely control and I gotta go where it's WARM!

I really loved the area of Rincon, PR but the water was rough and the beach didn't have really white sand. Honestly, any beach on the Emerald Coast of Florida, also called the Panhandle has gorgeous sand and water. The Keys have the prettiest water but not much real beach.
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.
