I, Robot

Post by Jahfin »

I saw this over the weekend and must say I enjoyed it much better than Spidey 2. I by no means hated Spidey, I just think this one never lost it's pace all the way through. I've never read I, Robot so I can't say how close it stuck to the original story but I do know I was highly entertained by this one, which I guess is what it's all about anyway.

I totally agree.. I was pleasantly suprised that I, Robot, was really good. I would even say I liked it better than Spiderman as well.

I, Robot is the best movie i have seen in a long time. It's easy to follow as long as you pay attention to it, and stuff just keeps happening... it doesn't get dull at any point. I like how simple things in the beginning have a lot of importance later on in the movie (I can't say what those little things are because it'd ruin it).

Also, Will Smith rocks as usual.

No desire to see Spidy 2, and definetly no desire to see I, Robot. Rule of thumb.... If it stars Wil Smith, best stay home.

Yet another year when Will Smith saves the world (seems like it's once a year yes?). I do want to see IR; however, I heard that the main criticism is that Will keeps on spouting racial slurs about the robots (we see the parallel here) and what he does not do very well in all of his movies is be brunt and or deep. Granted, I have not seen it and do plan to but I just don't want that getting in the way of a good action flick.

On the flip side of a "perspective" movie, the original 'Planet of the Apes' was great (yes, the over acting on Heston's part just added to my entertainment ) and did contain environmental, racial and social messages but can Will Smith pull it off without turning it into (loss for words here people)????

Just a thought... and will go in about another week.

Or aliens in Independance Day and MIB. Actually, I don't remember any "racial slurs". He did not care for them, but then again I may just not have paid enough attention.
It's your world, I'm just living in it! :pirate:
