I've been to Alpine and The World at Tinley. Alpine rocks for just about any concert, not just JB. Some friends of mine are going to put a trip together to see JB at Red Rocks next time he's there, though. Next year perhaps?

Tinley has always been a hole to me and I've always hated seeing shows there. Parking lot was not that impressive, either. Last year was the worst...95 degress, 100% humidity, pregnant and upset wife. Didn't make for the best circumstances.

Actually the shark tank in san jose on st.patrick's day was a great show. I really like Tinley Park Chicago.

Hey Tin Cup, do you really think Pine Knob? I am not a big fan of the Tailgating there.

Ever see him at the Schott? Someone else (I believe it was coconuts) on here said it was good. I just can't picture Jimmy at the Schott. I was curious if you had seen him there and your thoughts. Guess I am just not a big fan of the Schott for a big concert like that. Maybe Polaris though.

you were at that show too. That was the first place Jimmy used the flying
shark.
I have never been east. someday I will
the best place?? add some bathrooms, and take away the parking lot Natzis
and add a couple of beer/soda stands and shoreline IS a pretty
place. the best crowd???? VEGAS I have only seen 5 venues
but the vibe in the MGM is pretty amped. maybe 'cause

but since that ain't gonna happen. We saw him at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta with Mac and a few of the band about 800 people there
Hey 12vmanRick,

I was also at the Variety Playhouse for that show. Surprise visit indeed! What a night...I was about halfway back in the audience, a guest of Mr. Finger's Taylor!
Sweet! We were way in the back on the floor area. Jimmy had been sitting in the balcony above for a while.

What a great memory though. It was almost like a Mac and Jimmy only tour.. :D

It was me. Seriously, my evaluation was based mostly on the sheer number of bathrooms, plus the tailgating and coolness of security. And it was the first show I got to see after Vegas in January, and I made parrotvision for the first time.

The Schott is one of my favorite venues to see Jimmy.

But I'm probably in the minority. I think he sounded great. The vibe was cool. Security was chill for the most part. The parking lot was fantastic.

I've seen Buffett at several venues - inside and out. I prefer the indoor shows.

Best place to see Jimmy?

The now defunct Buckeye Lake Music Center. Out in the middle of no where 40,000 plus and the tailgating there was crazy.

I'd say the Schott is probably the best indoor venue I've been to for a JB concert. And I was there to see history in the making when Coco made parrotvision.

Alpine all the way

I used to live in Tinley Park and I can tell u I looked forward to the 2 hour drive to Alpine than I did the five minute drive to the Tweeter Center. Alpine is the best, far and away.

Not to mention, the horrible Tinley parking lot, a buch of dust and rocks.

Amen. I would have to say the dearly departed and sorely missed Buckeye Lake Music Center was the best place to see a show. The tailgating was fantastic and and the overall experience was great. Anyone remember the mud bowl from 1995?

Not going to touch it... can of worms.

Just go see him as often and as many places possible. You'll have a good time 8)
