Unreleased Studio Tracks

Post by JustDucky »

I've heard Abandoned On Tuesday on radiomarg but not the other early tune (I forget what it's called). I have a bootleg with Please Take Your Drunken Fifteen Year Old Girl Friend Home.

Does anyone have anything else (Train To Dixie or whatever else)? Where do I find them?

With the extra tracks on BBBB and Rancho Deluxe, the Marg. Cafe albums, the only other place I know to get a studio recording is on the MOM release with Trouble On The Horizon (it's from the Fruitcakes sessions).

Just curious.

Go over to Church of Buffett and look in their Vault. Lot's of stuff to download. http://www.cobo.org/modules.php?op=modl ... file=index

I'm usually pretty decent at this tech stuff, but when I access the vault at cobo, I can't find anything without using the search tool. I would like to find some stuff out there that I don't know about, and obviously I can't do a search for something that I don't know exists. Could someone explain how to access a list of what's available on the download section. Thanks.

It would be nice if Buffett either released another boxed set that collected all of these rarities or finally re-released his back catalog with each album remastered with bonus tracks.

There was a track that was cut from (I think) Beach House On The Moon called "Plutonium and Beer". Never heard the song, but I liked the title, so I named a fantasy football team after it!

So that's what it will take for you to be nice!

This is a joke... merely a joke. No harm is intended, just a silly play on words is all! No defense is needed. Enjoy the rest of the show!

There's a 2-CD compilation of Buffett rarities bootleg floating around. Its called Odds & Ends Vol. 1 & Vol. 2.

If you are interested, I have scans of the art on my web site. Click on the Buffet link, then the boots & promos link.

Far Side Edit Version

Post by JustDucky »

I have the Fruitcakes 2 track promo. What's the edit like on the Far Side Of The World promo? Is it a good edit? I'm curious to hear it. The Southern Cross promo and Island Fever promo - WHERE did you find those?

Dammit!

Twice?

Post by JustDucky »

That's the second time it's happened - that I replied twice to the same thing. I dunno how it happens.

I haven't listened to the edit of FSOTW in a long time. But it is pretty good. I still prefer the extended version though. The edit is quite similar to the version he played on the Tonight Show a couple years back.

As for the Southern Cross promo and the Island Fever promo, those came to a friend for reviewing purposes. Darn the luck.
