BBBB Update

Post by CaptainP »

What songs from the last 12 years would you add to the box set, and on which discs? Include songs from "Fruitcakes", "Barometer Soup", "Banana Wind", "Don't Stop The Carnival", "Beach House On the Moon", "Far Side Of the World", "License To Chill", the new songs from "Meet Me In Margaritaville", the songs he snuck in on the "Margaritaville Cafe" discs, and the songs he doesn't have on any studio album, but have become staples ("5 O'Clock Somewhere", "Southern Cross")

What a good idea! I don't have a lot of time to put much thought into this, but below is my first cut:

That is going to require too much brain usage than I am able to use right now. I have to think about that.

I'm not going to play because given enough time I'll name half (or more) of the songs on all of the CDs mentioned. :)

Same sentiment here except change that last part to "drink about that".

Actually a new box set would be better - 4 new names for each album. All the goodies from Marg. Cafe through LTC plus "Trouble On The Horizon" and "Caribbean Amphibian" and whatever unreleased tracks (Beer And Plutonium, etc...)

I have already done this and you can only add 2 or 3 songs to each cd as they're only 80 minutes long..

I can't remember what I added at the moment, maybe later

This is all hypothetical...not worried about being able to actually do it.

I know it's hypothetical but if you've got a burner you can.

I found my box set and you can add about 14 songs to it depending on their length with Beaches and Bars providing the most room for songs.
Here's what I have although with the new cd I may have to change it up a bit.

BOATS-
Treetop Flyer
Trouble On The Horizon-

BEACHES-
Sunny Afternoon
My Lovely Lady
Jamaica Mistaica
Presents To Send You

BARS-
Brahma Fear
My Head Hurts, MyFeet Stink & I Don't Love Jesus
Love In Decline
Cliches
Another Saturday Night
Ringling Ringling

BALLADS-
Dreamsicle
Tonight I just need my guitar

As far as unreleased tracks would go,
'Please take your Drunken 15 year old girlfriend home' would be at the top of my list for my dream box set but with today's world I doubt it would happen.
I can just see people flipping out over a song about some horny 28 year old guy's mouth foaming over a 15 year old girl which is most likely why it was never released to begin with.

Boats To Build
Remittance Man
Sail On Sailor

Beaches
Frenchman For The Night
Barefoot children In the Rain
Lone Palm
Coastal Confessions

Bars
Quietly Making Noise
Hey, Good Lookin'
Only Time Will Tell
Champagne Si, Agua No

Ballads
False Echoes
Coast of Carolina
Semi-True Story
Someone I Used To Love
