Subject: New Model Launch Warranty Parts Return Hot Process
BACKGROUND
During new model launch, an FCS-700 return document (tag) requests parts be returned from Job #1 plus 90 days or until the first 10 pieces of each component are received, whichever comes first. During the new model launch period, it is imperative that we obtain some parts for analysis faster to support our new model quality objectives.
NEW MODEL LAUNCH WARRANTY PARTS RETURN HOT PROCESS
The New Model Launch Warranty Parts Return Hot Process is similar to the Powertrain Hot Process that is used today. The New model process will work as follows:
FCSD will identify parts through analysis of warranty claims paid.
Engineering determines that they need a particular part returned using the expedited hot process.
An assigned Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) member will email Nuestro with the claim information including Dealership, P&A code, claim number, part number and shipping instructions.
Nuestro will contact you via telephone advising you of the expedited shipping request. Nuestro will obtain your email address and FAX number and FAX an authorization form with key data to the dealership.
Nuestro will follow-up with an email containing the same information.
You will be required to remove the part from your warranty retention area and package the part with a copy of the request and bill of lading and ship (prepaid) to the address on the request form, if the part was included in a blanket order.
You will retain a copy of the authorization form, bill of lading and shipping receipt.
You will attach a copy of the authorization form, bill of lading and shipping instructions, when the FCS-700 return document (tag) arrives at the dealership.
The Regional Core Recovery Center (RCRC) driver will scan the FCS-700 return document (tag) with the above information attached and credit your parts account.
