Does your significant other share your Buffett obsession?

Today, while I was listening to LTC, my wife came home from work and remarked "Are we listening to this again?" Which got me to wondering -- do your spouses/significant others share your enthusiasm for JB and his music (and/or the parrothead lifestyle)?

Mine tolerates it (and she's tagging along to Pittsburgh with me) but that's about it.

Right now he's between tolerating it and thinking I'm crazy (but my being crazy amuses him, so not in the bad way). But once he gets home and gets to go to a show with me, he'll realize he's a parrothead too!

She does now!!!
When we first met she had no clue who Jimmy was and had never heard
one song. Now she is parrothead head...till death do us part.

That is ok though. Often times she is right I think.

She sees all my Buffett CDs and just shakes her head. Oh well.

My wife was horrified when I told her I wanted her to sew matching shark outfits for the Pittsburgh show. (Me: "Honey, how many yards of grey fabric do you think we'll need?" Her: "For what?" Me: "Why, for the shark costumes, of course!")

What's a significant other?

If you mean my wife, well...she's tolerant of what she calls my passion...which includes sailing, sunning and boat drinks to Bubba tunes....but she has much broader musical tastes than I...

Not sure how you tally this vote but here it is.

Yes, but to a lesser degree. She loves the shows and loves the music, but she gets sick of it from time to time.

I think the best way to put it, is that my wife is a parrothead supporter.

She has been to 3 shows only because of me. I guess the saying is true. Some people get and some people don't.

Now my keets on the other hand are both being raised to be true parrotheads.

This is one of the reasons I don't have a significant other, most of them think I'm crazy! Wait, I am crazy! :-? But most of them think I'm crazy for traveling to so many Buffett shows, and that's the only thing that keeps me sane!!! 8)

But I've got to have someone to hang out with at the shows.

Mine likes the music, but tolerate might be too strong of a word to describe her attitude on phlockings. I have found it goes a lot smoother when I invite her. :P :pirate:

THANK GOODNESS!!!! :D :D :D

Unfortunately, that's what scares the missus. "You want to go spend a weekend with people you've never met, only talked to on-line?!?"

My husband is quite tolerant of my little obsession, as long as I don't put it too much "in his face."

once you've been to the first phlocking, then you've met "them" and the argument is moot..... :D
