Absolutely Beautiful! Went there when I was nine and the gulf is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. If you like sunsets, photo ops are abundant since the sun sets in the west. I am trying to think of what we did there but I will post later when I remember.

my in-laws are retired and spend 3 months a year in Marco. I have visited one week a year for the past 8-10 years. Marco is very slow-paced and quiet. Tiger Tale beach is beautiful. There is not much in the way of night life. Be sure to visit the Snook Inn. It is a great place to dine on the water and it has a tiki bar which is about the only night life on the island. This time of year should not be as crowded as when I typically go in February but reservations for dinner are generally needed anywhere on the island. There is an executive airport about 5 minutes off the island with daily flights to Key West. The cost is about $125 bucks and it gets you there in only 30 minutes. There are also daily ferries to Key West but the trip is nearly 4 hours by water. If you are looking for a day trip go to Naples. It is about a 30 minute drive to the north and there is some nice shopping and several restaurants right on the water.
Sweet senorita won't you please come with me
Back to the island honey, back to the sea
Back to the only place that I want to be
