CHESNEY SHOW
Went to see Kenny Chesney Friday night at the same venue we saw JB about a month ago. A bit of a let down. Chesney is high energy and it was kind of fun, but it just wasn't the same. Right from the start you could tell how different. There were lots of people tailgating, but no imagination at all. No Tiki Huts, no sand, no nothing. Just sitting around on canvas chairs drinking. You know how much energy there is in the parking lot for a Bubba show? None of that. You know how we're all part of one big party? Nothing like that. Nobody strolling around checking out other parties, visting with others. Inside it was pretty much the same. Two or three beach balls being batted around. My wife commented on how when we saw Jimmy, when we walked in the air was filled with literally hundreds of beach balls. We had fun, the guy put on a good show, I'd go back...but let me just say, "Kenny, I know Jimmy Buffett, I've seen Jimmy Buffett and Kenny, you're no Jimmy Buffett."

It is our responsability to show the "Kenny Fans" how to tailgate with a porpous. The gang in Dallas did just that this year and many Kenny fans were heard to remark "Now we know what we have to do next year"

I'm working with Four Play to incorporate his trade, advertise his talents, and share his skills with the rest of the world. For anyone who has seen Van Wilder, Four Play's party planning skills can be compared to that of Van's.ph4ever wrote:it's my understanding Four Play is now giving lessons to the guys that helped us set up so they can tailgate at Tim McGraw. I would strongly urge all BNers to do what they can to party with this man.

Just voicing an opinion. I have no interest in the artist or his music. Was not trying to set off a flame war.rednekkPH wrote:RinglingRingling wrote:if ever there was a reason to be slightly lit, going to that wannabee would have to be close to the top of the list.

The chart also only compares shows for that week. His Dallas show was close to $4.3m, granted there were a few "opening acts".prrthd1987 wrote:That looks like a total for BOTH indy dates... the chart says "July 6, 8"
The Atlanta show also brought in over $1 million with less than 19000 people.
