Am I the only one that feels that LTC is growing on me faster and faster every day?? I REALLY enjoy this album and can't seem to get enough of it!!! The track done with Martina McBride (trip around the sun) blows me away every time I listen to it. Not to mention the instant favorites of "Coast of Carolina", "Coastal Confessions", and "Anytime, Anything, Anywhere". Truly a GREAT album in my mind. Am I the only one???

Glad to hear it's growing on you more.
I wish everyone else would give it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance.

Other than two or three songs I've liked it pretty much from the get-go. I just don't hear the overtly "country" sounds that are keeping some fans from liking the album. It just sounds like Jimmy Buffett Music to me and one of his strongest efforts in years.

I love it myself! There are a couple of songs that are just ok for me but most of the album is GREAT! I have played it for several "non-parrotheads"

who liked it and plan to get it...even my mother-in-law.

I have to completely agree. The first time I listened to LTC, I thought it was a cute little CD but nothing more, but the more I listened to it, the more I wanted to listen to it, and now I can't stop listening to it.
And different songs keep popping up as songs I want to hear more than once.
Of course this is usually how most of my favorite CD's started, as okay CD's, but then as I would listen to them more, I would really start to fall in love with them, and that is definitely the case with LTC.

I was thinking the same thing last night. I've liked the disc from the day I bought it, but wasn't real shot in the arse about it. However, everyday it gets better and better. Trip Around, Sea of Heartbreak, and Someone I Used to Love are all really growing on me along with the normal favorites. I foresee this disc not leaving the changer for a long time.

AGREED!!! I listened to License to Chill on the first day of its release, but by Wednesday I found myself listening to John Hiatt. LTC is now in regular rotation and owns one of the 48 coveted spots in my CD wallet, which will travel to Florida with me. Yeah I know that it's kind of pathetic of me to make such a big deal out of which CDs I will bring with me on vacation....

To me, that is THE most important part when packing for Florida. It's a 10 hour drive for us to the Gulf Shores, so music selection is VERY important.
I start getting ready for Florida about a month before we leave by listening to JB 24/7. I've got my six-year-old hooked now. He'll say "This song reminds me of Florida." BINGO! Got a teach 'em while their young.
And he's a Florida-addict. He starts talking about next year's Florida vacation about a month after we get back from the last one. It can be the dead of winter and he'll start talking about Florida, and when are we going again. That's when I pop in Jimmy just for the memories.

EXACTLY....you know what I am talking about. I try to get down to Florida 1 to 2 times a year. In recent years I have only been able to make one trip. Your lucky that you're only ten hours, I have a fifteen hour drive.

I think its awesome, simply complicated is hysterical, piece of work is a cool song, Scarlet Begonias is great but Window on the world is my favorite song on this album.

When the cd first came out I didn't think I liked it as well as I did other just Jimmy albums, but most every song on it has really grown on me, especially the more upbeat songs I didn't particularly care for at first like Simply Complicated, Piece of Work and of course License to Chill.
I can't go anywhere without it now!
