I have been planning for a few years now on opening an ocean front bar here in Myrtle by 2007. On opening night, I really wanted to see if I could have Jimmy Buffett come and perform solo. Now since Margaritaville has opened, and soon Cheeseburger In Paradise, a location in Myrtle....I guess my luck has all run dry aye? My bar will indeed have some rough competition. Maybe I will have to look towards booking the popular Buffett tribute band: A1A or possibly old Pat Dailey (Jimmy Buffett of the great lakes).

Go with the anti Margaritville
I always prefer the less Disney-like and more rustic type joints.
The kind of place where you would get a lot of locals.
And get Jim Morris to open it.

I agree a 100%! Go with less the commercial/Touristy/Disney/ look give it that ole Key West look as if the bar just washed up on the beach. Places like that old a spot in every local and beachcombers heart. Feels like home! I'd say g et Eric Stone to open it.

Must agree with 2 of the hottest guys around (and I'm lucky enough to be/post under them!!) The more of a dive, the better!!!

And Eric Stone can open (with JW at his side) for Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band to really kick it off!!

Start setting out the tables and chairs now - the more weathered they are, the divier :)

They really don't even have to know how to dance...the nice ta-tas can be enough to draw a crowd!

Actually, who even needs the bar...
Just find some hot chiks with nice ta-tas and show 'em the nice liquor selection at home, make a video and start a webcam site :P

Yeah, model it after Alabama Jack's (or the Navigator? never been there) and get Jim Morris to sit on a bar stool and play for a few hours. I'll be there. :pirate:

Nav-a-gator is a GREAT place! Definitely a stop that you should make sometime - Jim is playing on September 9th if you've got nothing else goin' on!

Now I'm off to compare ta-ta enhancement prices so I can apply at this new ocean front bar... :P
