It means that if you think it's ironic, you've completely misinterpreted the title. License to Chill does NOT refer to chill=make cold. It refers to chill=relax.

And since we know that for Buffett, relaxing means beach, then the CD uses beach/summer colors to convey the underlying theme of chilling at the beach.

:)

PS. I still don't understand the symbolism in any Thomas Hardy novel.... now THAT'S abstract.

Am I the only one who's immediate reaction to the conchs was, "Well, they clearly designed this album with the Conchy Tonk theme in mind!"?

"Knock knock"
"Who's there?"
"Orange"
"Orange who?"
"Orange you glad you bought the new cd?"

Just a half a bubble off a level today, but couldn't resist

It’s orange, because it’s, well orange. I don’t see any significance.

And many thought I was bad going on about the early MCA CDs…

This thread appears to be more successful in posts than any of my MCA threads ever were, and that was on a much more obvious and serious subject. What is the world coming to?

I would hazard to guess that approximately 14% of threads on here are idiotic. But they are some of the most fun, hilarious, and entertaining threads. Example: the "dating a shirt" and "plastic fork/spork" threads. These and others have made my day more fun, made me laugh so hard I couldn't catch my breath.

I'll tell you why it's orange. It means that trouble is ahead not sure what though.
