I used to have a T-shirt that saId BAD POLITICIANS ARE SENT TO WASHINGTON BY GOOD PEOPLE WHO DON'T VOTE. If you don't vote you're part of the problem.

I always vote ..... but only for those I am informed about. An un-informed vote is just as bad as not voting.

I voted. Always do. But I refuse to share my political views. I feel its a good way to keep my friends.

Ok... Of course I voted. Have voted in every election since I have been eligible. No vote, no voice. That is why I vote.

I had fun during the 1992 election. I was in college and had a 2 hour lunch break, and I would spend it in "The Pit". My friend Dave was there from 11-12, and he was a hard-core Democrat. He'd leave, and in would come Ivan, a flaming Republican.

Me, I'm neither. Refuse to align with a party. Vote for the person, not the party. But I do like to debate, and am good at it. So I'd spend that first hour arguing for George Bush, Sr. against Dave. He'd leave, Ivan would come in, and I'd start debating him, this time taking the Clinton viewpoint.

Fun part was, neither one of them could keep up with me, I'd win BOTH debates!!!!

Then I'd go to class with JT...he was for Perot....

I was 20 the year the voting age was lowered to 18 and I vote every year, not just in the presidential elections. As long as I vote it gives me the right to complain.

I vote and if you can afford the Wednesday off after the election there is a fun drinking game that you can play with your friends, whenever your candidate wins a state you take a drink. I don't remember much of the 2000 election

So that's your excuse!
(BTW, I cast my first ballot in a Presidental election for Shirley Chisholm)

Of course I voted, but to no avail.
(And I have the "Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Jimmy Buffett" sticker to prove it!)

I just hope we don't see anything like Florida for a long time to come. That was a fiasco that became funny after a short time... Chads and hanging chads and ... well... I sure we all remember. Made us look like we can not even count.

And NO, I'm not from Florida.

I always thought it was because I'm old and that's what old people do.

I had that bumper sticker in my office for about 2 years.

I vote in every election. I have never understood why people in this country do not vote. However, I take this privilege seriously by making sure I know where a candidate stands on the issues that are important to me.

Maybe if more than the 45% or so of eligible voters actually went to the polls things might change. Think about it. When Bill Clinton ran against Bush the First and Ross Perot in 1992 he received about 43% of the vote. Less than 50% of eligible voters voted that year. That means Clinton got elected by getting the vote of a little more than 20% of the eligible voters. That's pretty sad.

On the other hand. I ask myself often "do we want people who are too lazy to vote helping to elect our leaders"

It scares me that people who cannot understand this vote.
