1 song per cd
Has anyone noticed that almost every one of JB's cd's has at least one song that seems to not be seriously written ex. simply cmplicated, math suks, hokey pokey. I guess this is just shows us that jimmy means it when he says he doesn't take this music stuff to seriously and im glad for that.

Not hardly. You need to listen to some Van Morrison. He has a ton of songs that don't have the word "radio" in them. Granted he has a number that do have it but far more that don't.Hmmmm.... has anyone else noticed that nearly every Van Morrison song has the word "radio" in it?

did you get to see the tour a few years ago when jimmy combined elvis imitator with why don't we get drunk and screw? fingers was still around at that time, and i think he got dressed up in an elvis outfit for the song. it was a nice combination.Lastplaneout wrote:It's just the way he does stuff. Maybe the reason I like it has to do with the fact that I waited 17 years to hear Jimmys version. Steve Goodman wrote it and included it on his last album "Artistic Hair" during the songs introduction he said he wrote it because Elvis Imitators ought to have their own song, and maybe there own union. Then he said that Jimmy Buffett actually recorded it but not under his own name, said he'd recorded it under the name Freddy and the Fishsticks. I looked everywhere for it but he never released it that I could find until I found it on BBBB.

This makes me think of two songs I've heard on live cd's but I'm not sure if JB wrote them or if there even on a cd... Mental Floss and I Will Play for Gumbo.

JB wrote both of them. Mental Floss was on Bannana Wind and Gumbo was on Beach House on the Moon.fairhopeparrot wrote:This makes me think of two songs I've heard on live cd's but I'm not sure if JB wrote them or if there even on a cd... Mental Floss and I Will Play for Gumbo.
