parrotheads from central illinois going to tweeter on thurs.

traveling from south carolina to Illinois for concert on Thursday at Tweeter. Going with my sister and her husband from Bloomington. This will be our first outdoor Buffett concert. Looking to tailgate with all and or any from central Illinois. How about it? What time are you arriving? Do you all think 2 is to early. Its getting close now.

there will be a group of 4 of us, possibly 5 heading to the show from Normal. We'll leave sometime around lunch and head to the hotel to check in. The lots opened around 3 last year, but you can always hang out in the Holiday Inn parking lot before the lots open. Many people have done this the past couple years. Even if we don't hook up, there will be many friendly people to tailgate with, Thursday is a bit lower-key than Saturday, yet it will still be a good time

sounds great. maybe we will stop by the Holiday Inn. We are not spending the night-hope that was not a mistake.

I have been to Normal IL!!!! I caught the train from there once - one lonely little aussie on her way back to St Louis!!

I got a huge kick out of the fact that I was actually in "Normal"

there all kinds of punny things, like the 'normal police'...I wanted them to build our local Hooters in normal rather than bloomington, so it coudl be 'normal hooters'...could have been great marketing...

I think you should start up a Parrot Head Club there - "The Normal Parrot Head Club"
