Saw Mac Tonight In Charlotte

My first time seeing Mac Mcanally tonight at the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC. Had a great time at the show. Not sure if there were any other BNer's in attendance. I'm not as familiar with his solo stuff, but he did play a lot of stuff that Buffett has done:

Changing Channels
Coast Is Clear
Last Man Standing
The City
Tonight I Just Need My Guitar
It's My Job
Semi-True Story
...and he closed with Coast of Carolina

The other songs were "All These Years" which Sawyer Brown picked up, an instrumental Allman Brothers tune called "Little Martha", Simple Life, Looking Back, Miracle, Good For Nothing, Socrates, Pop Top Bop, C'mon If You're Coming, and Junk Car .

Mac also said the show tonight was being recorded. Didn't say if it'd ever see the light of day though, but hopefully it'll end up on Radio Margaritaville or better yet as a release someday. Most of the time I go to something and they say its being recorded but thats the last I hear of it.

So to conclude, I'll tell you what most of you already know. If Mac plays anywhere in your area, go see him!

My wife and I are going to see Mac tomorrow here in Atlanta. Looking forward to it. He's a great story teller and it's always a good time when he's in town. I would definitely suggest seeing him if he comes to a town near you.

The other songs I caught the titles of were Socrates, Opinion on Love, Hot Tot Bop?, C'mon If You're Coming, and Junk Car.
I saw Mac in Indy earlier this month, he puts on a great show. He's a really funny guy too, I loved the stories he told between songs.

I think that tune is called Pop Top Bop. If the Allman Brothers song was the same one he played in Indy I'm pretty sure it was Little Martha.

Sweet, definitely going to pick that up. As usual though, I bet no track from Charlotte makes it. :(

Thanks for the help LIPH! Edited my original post and added this in.

I was at the show in Charlotte last night. GREAT show! Ran into Mac at the pizza joint across the street from the venue before the show and chatted a bit. Also he stuck around to sign after the show.
Buffett is lucky to have such talent around him.

It was a great show. My date and I sat on the front row and had a great time. The other songs he did were Simple Life, Looking Back, Miracle, and Good For Nothing, although I'm pretty sure he didn't do Opinion on Love. He is a very talanted musician, singer, and songwriter.

I'd be willing to bet several songs from Charlotte make the live disc.

He had his daughter with him and a special guest was head of Buffett security Charleston. He and Mac hugged after the show and he walked out right behind me. He's a big dude and told someone he had been training in fighting since the tour breal started.

Charleston was at the Indy show too. We went over to talk to him when the show ended and he looked at me and said "I've seen you around before." I don't know if it's a good thing when Jimmy's bodyguard starts to recognize you.

I actually walked up to him and told him he was like my ex boyfriend- every time I saw him, I got excited and nothing ever happened. We made friends.

Edited the original post to include these. My inclusion of "Opinion of Love" must've been wishful thinking.

Sorry Mason, I'm in Atlanta for the weekend. And Mac was awesome...can't say much more than that. Not sure when I've enjoyed a show so much, on that scale I mean.
