I have to disagree with you LaTda on your Bush lost the respect. I have to agree with PHBeerman on both things, one it was lost before then and Beerman is probably as good and qualified as either of them, unfortunately if you are not super rich you will never be president in this country again. Now tell me how many super rich people actually know your day to day struggle ?
it's ok Rick (and Troy) this is America, you are allowed to be wrong :D
As are you. Which you are now.  I know you're all fired up after the convention and all.
No, you think but you are wrong once AGAIN LMAO.
I'm independant & didn't watch the convention.
Only proves you are wrong there but nice try
Ahh my favorite rhetoric as always. The I'm an Independent line.

Psst dude if you were independent you really would not be arguing this point.

Oh yeah I can see the independent in you.
An independent would not come in the morning after the convention and be all fired up and ready for some good old fashioned Bush bashing.

Dude, stand up and be proud of your liberal ways. I respect that alot more.

I was waiting for that!

Here's my impression...people are idiots because they have a self-centered, non-caring, "I gotta be first" mentality with a lack of self preservation(present company excluded). I realize this is a broad generalization, but I just drove into work and the road rage hasn't worked it's way out yet.
Not one shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious...

The loss of respect by the world (for republicans) started when they went after President Clinton over Lewinsky. I mean, they didn't care about that. Mitteran's wife stood with his mistress at his funeral.
Then there's the WMD / UN / Iraq war where most of the respect was lost by people around the world.
hahaha on the allowed to be wrong. It really did start with Clinton and it was because the office of the President of the United States until him was viewed as that of an honorable one, Bush didn't restore it, I doubt Kerry can.

But I bet Jimmy Buffett could!

My question is, Why do you have to register to be independent of political parties?

You don't have to register to be independent of the parties but you do have to register to vote and when you register they ask for your party affiliation. I have no affiliation so I'm a registered independent.

you don't understand, the world doesn't care about the Presidents sexlife, they care about merit, Clinton was respected, Bush isn't.

just an FYI - I don't respect most politicians because they do NOT even try to do what is right for US, only for their own political career.

And maybe, just maybe you are right about people not caring about Clinton's sex life and I surely wouldn't argue that we wasted a LOT of taxpayer money on a private issue that took away from him being able to do his job and possibly even stop 9/11 BUT I just wish he hadn't lied and Gore not coming out against him is what lost Gore my vote.

Another reason to love Idaho. They don't care who we affiliate with. Well they may care, but too smart to ask.

I don't believe that it was Clinton's sex life we cared so much about , but rather the fact that he bold faced lied to everyone...

And our wonderful forefathers knew that the people were idiots, and that why they made the electorial college...

Oh and LI, you can bush bash here anytime!!!!
Just kidding, I know you don't bush bash married women
