The Speedo Man does admit that "Hot Water" is not JB's best album but it is defenently not his worst either. Old Bobby Boy here know's that the first few songs are not very good but once you get up to the Prince of Tides the Speedo Man starts to groove a little, then the Prince Of Bluberness slow's down a little bit for Pre You, another good song. Then we are on to the big 4 on this CD which the Speedo Man loves, " King Of Somewhere Hot" just make old Bobby boy whip off his paints and slam on his favorite Speedo. Then it is " Great Heart" and that is when the blubber starts to fly and the Speedo Man is dancing up a storm. "Smart Woman In a real short skirt" is a song that characterises your Royal Manlyness life story in just one song. And finally how can you go wrong with " That is What living is to me" this is one of the greatist JB songs ever.

Don't Stop the Carnival is another wonderfull album, the Speedo Man cannot figure out why so many Parrotheads do not like it.

The worst albums would have to be the first two since old Bobby Boy here is not really into country a whole lot. But the King of Commando does love LTC which is considered country.
The Speedo Man is 43 years old, 100 ibs overweight, suffers from male pattern baldness, old Bobby boy here cannot get a date if his life depended on it, and the Prince Of Bluberness still lives with his parents.

varied opinions here, quite funny.. I like Carnival for what it is and there are several good songs on there. Then BHOTM is one of my favorite and FSOTW is got some REALLY weak stuff on it but overall I like it. LTC is fast moving up the chart on my top Buffett albums.

I would have to say "Beach House on the Moon" and "Somewhere over China" are tied for last on my list.

this is truly a really hard question to answer! I'd have to say that "High Comberland Jubilee" would be my least favorite....Just don't like the early country stuff, although I really do like LTC - I guess because it's "more polished" country.

To turn the question around (what is your favorite JB album), I think without a doubt it's a tie between "Floridays" and "Fruitcakes"...although DSTC is a REALLY close second...I absolutely LOVE that album and can't get enough of it....I really wish he would do more songs from that one in his live shows...

Just my 2 cents for the day!

When I first heard it, I was disappointed. Not enough Jimmy! Too many other singers. Then I realized how good the music was, and now it is actaully one of my favs!

That's EXACTLY why it's one my favs! Musically, it is, without a doubt, the best he's ever done, IMHO....

Hands down BHOTM.

If you haven't read DSTC then it is understandable why you would dislike the album. But I bet the people who have actually read the book like the album. I consider it Jimmy's best writing, EVER! He brings those characters to life.

OK: Here's a list:

FSOTW
BHOTM
SOC
OTSTL
HW

These are the albums I most often tend to skip tracks to get to my favorites. In other words, I listen to them, I like songs, but I rarely listen to them from beginning to end.

I listened to DSTC once and have not touched it since the week it was released.

btw, I have now converted 6 "Buffett Haters" by playing Hot Water. I have mentioned to people that I like Jimmy and they say stuff like how can you listen to that "Margaritaville sh*t all the time" Then, we have them over for dinner or drinks and sometime during the evening, I slip on "Pre You" with the jazzy sound and everytime, "Hey that is really cool and mellow and wonderful, who is that?" To which I usually respond, "Its that Margaritaville sh*t you a$$"

Last time I did that, the guy wanted nothing to do with Jimmy, before, and he borrowed several when he went home. We bought him MMIM for Christmas and he and his wife were on the bus to Alpine a couple weeks ago.

"Beach House on the Moon" and "License to Chill" run neck and neck in my book.

Try it again. As we mentioned before, great Carribean sound, and a few hidden gems on this one.
