For what it's worth, I just bought (for the princely sum of $1) a very good playing copy of Steve Goodman's LP "Somebody elses Troubles." The front cover is a Goodman family portrait which includes someone named Marvin Gardens. Anyone ever hear of him? JOHN
I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now!

Jeez, Parrot Monkey. It was a JOKE. Stop taking yourself so damned seriously.Parrot Monkey wrote:Agreed. This was a very mature debate and I really made sure in each post that I said something that would ensure I would not make any possible enemies by the things I said. While I agree that I probably could have annoyed some people by my constant posting on the same subject, I never said a single thing that could have possibly offended anyone. And keep in mind I was off the subject of the CD dilemma and was just congratulating 7lords on his find when SuperTrooper had to post something that was quite uncalled for.Cajunph wrote:Can't we all just get along?
Nobody here is your "enemy". Some of us DO get annoyed with your singlemindedness on your CD issue. There are lots of things to talk about here, and we'd like to see a bit more of what you have to say on OTHER subjects. Spend some time in the Social area so people can get to know you, and you can get to know us. I sometimes forget that other people don't have a thick skin like I do, so if I offended you I apologize.

Oh, really sorry about that. I have a good sense of humor, It just didn't sound like a joke and this subject really gets to me, so I really wasen't in the joking mood at the moment.
Next time, please use the"
" smily and I will know not to take offense and to laugh instead.
And I do post on plenty of other subjects on the board, I just taught I would get some success by bringing up the CD issue here. Guess not...

Just got my wisdom teeth pulled today and am posting while the pain killers are in effect (don't want to post while they're not or I will be really short temperd, because it huts like heck).
But here's what i'll do. I will create a discography site on a free Geocities acconut, that may also include a petition form. If it is successful and the free ad-based account can't handle it, I will take Lee's offer and host it on the KLC as well as purchase a domain name.
I will try my best not to keep posting the same statements in diffrent words on this subject.

I was knocked out at the surgeon's office and then suddenly woke up on the couch in the den where my dad put on BBB&B on random. You can always count on Jimmy.

You should be ok soon- I had major oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth (I had 2 holes from my sinuses into the roof of my mouth, and I can still feel the depressions where they drilled 9 years later), and I only had real pain on the first day and when I ate for 2-3 days.Parrot Monkey wrote:You said it. I wasn't fond of mushy foods, and was too afraid to eat for a while. I lost 25 pounds! I wish I had some more they could pull - every 3 months or so!Coconuts wrote:You should be ok soon- I had major oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth (I had 2 holes from my sinuses into the roof of my mouth, and I can still feel the depressions where they drilled 9 years later), and I only had real pain on the first day and when I ate for 2-3 days.Parrot Monkey wrote:You said it. I was just looking on eBay at Bruce Springsteen’s The River on vinyl and man, it’s amazing how much stuff they left off the CD issue. Both records were in their own sleeves with many pics on the front and back. For some reason, the majority of it is missing from the CD foldout. It’s amazing how much carelessness art directors performed in the 80’s when adapting album art for CDs.
