The draft was good. I liked Rivers over Manning all along. (A Manning has only ever won 1 post season game....ever!) I also loved the pick of DT Igor Olshansky from Oregon. Given the Giants situation, the Chargers could end up with 2 of the first 5 picks next season...possibly even 1 and 2.Buffett4ever wrote:What did you think of their draft. I could not believe they drafted Manning. I figured he wouldn't even acknowledge the pick. Then they got a sweet deal in the trade. You surely had to like that.

I am huge Titans fan and was very disappointed to see Eddie go, he was a big part of their success lately not just from his play, but his addition to team morale and work ethic. However, the Titans did replace him with another seasoned back in Antwone Smith from the Pats, but he's no Eddie and either is their back-ups Chris Smith or Gerald Payton(if he could only be like his dad!), but atleast we still have Mr. MVP, Steve "Air" McNair. I think the Titans have what they need to make another run at the Pats in the AFC championship, but who can tell this earlythetacoman wrote:Make no mistake, one look at Eddie George and there's nothing ordinary about him. He's the biggest back on the team. He's one of the most productive rushers in league history, running for more than 10,000 career yards, which ranks 17th on the all-time list.

I was disappointed in the Rivers deal. Once it became apparant that they weren't going to be able to keep Eli, I would have preferred they went and got a WR. Rivers is a side-arm QB, and they never succeed in the NFL. The last one to even come close was Scott Mitchell. I would have preferred to stick with Brees, give him a good target (there were plenty of WR's out there), and look for your QB next year. Brees may not be great, but he isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. He's serviceable.margaritamyers wrote:I don't think that Eli will be as good as Peyton, so I think that Rivers was a better pick for the Chargers, IF they ever sign him.
I agree. What I don't get is the dancing after they make a routine play. Yeah you did your job. Now get the ***** back to the huddle and ready for the next play. During the game, I really don't care. Just keep it off the damn field during the game!!!! Yes...I'm talking to you Terrell Owens, and you Joe Horn!!! Morons.

You are looking on the wrong side of the ball for your answers, Conkytonk. Your DEFENSE has to be as good as the PATS to make a run at them.ConkyTonk wrote:I am huge Titans fan and was very disappointed to see Eddie go, he was a big part of their success lately not just from his play, but his addition to team morale and work ethic. Hey don't knock Tony Romo he has a part time job as owner of some rib joints. The ribs are really good. Oh wait a minute.....I got him confused with Tony Roma. Who is Tony Romo?CaptainP wrote: So far, Tony Romo looks like your best QB. (WHO? Exactly!)
I think you spelled that wrong. Shouldn't it be J-E-S-T-S- JESTS JESTS JESTS?sailingagain wrote:Let's go........

Signed last year as an undrafted FA out of Eastern Illinois, where he set pretty much every Div. 2 record for a QB. He has a great arm, solid head, and, coincidentally, went to my High School and shares my birthday. So I'm rooting for him!jollymon345 wrote:Hey don't knock Tony Romo he has a part time job as owner of some rib joints. The ribs are really good. You need to look on the other side of the ball to determine how your team will do this year. You had a top level defense the two years you went to the Super Bowl. You can't score when the other team has the ball.Pencil Thin wrote:St. Louis Rams!
Big Game Torry Holt and the rest of the crew are ready to go (except for Leonard Little, Grant Wistrom
, Kyle Turley) Okay, so maybe we might be missing a few guys
But I'm excited and ready to go. The greatest show on turf is ready for lift off!
Marshall, Marshall, Marshall!
