What did you think of their draft. I could not believe they drafted Manning. I figured he wouldn't even acknowledge the pick. Then they got a sweet deal in the trade. You surely had to like that.

The draft was good. I liked Rivers over Manning all along. (A Manning has only ever won 1 post season game....ever!) I also loved the pick of DT Igor Olshansky from Oregon. Given the Giants situation, the Chargers could end up with 2 of the first 5 picks next season...possibly even 1 and 2.
Hopefully the dark days will be over soon. 8)

I don't think that Eli will be as good as Peyton, so I think that Rivers was a better pick for the Chargers, IF they ever sign him.

I am huge Titans fan and was very disappointed to see Eddie go, he was a big part of their success lately not just from his play, but his addition to team morale and work ethic. However, the Titans did replace him with another seasoned back in Antwone Smith from the Pats, but he's no Eddie and either is their back-ups Chris Smith or Gerald Payton(if he could only be like his dad!), but atleast we still have Mr. MVP, Steve "Air" McNair. I think the Titans have what they need to make another run at the Pats in the AFC championship, but who can tell this early

And lets not forget that Eddie was a Buckeye. You could tell when he was running for the Buckeyes that he was something special... sorry... had to get that shameless plug in for the Buckeyes. :) I had the priviledge of seeing Eddie once with the Titans when they played in Cincy a few years back and saw him at OSU. Very talented.

I wish he'd stop his choreographed entrances onto the field. Not just him, but all those other bozos who feel the need to preen for the crowd. Let your playing do the talking.

During the game, I really don't care. Just keep it off the damn field during the game!!!! Yes...I'm talking to you Terrell Owens, and you Joe Horn!!! Morons.

I was disappointed in the Rivers deal. Once it became apparant that they weren't going to be able to keep Eli, I would have preferred they went and got a WR. Rivers is a side-arm QB, and they never succeed in the NFL. The last one to even come close was Scott Mitchell. I would have preferred to stick with Brees, give him a good target (there were plenty of WR's out there), and look for your QB next year. Brees may not be great, but he isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. He's serviceable.

I agree. What I don't get is the dancing after they make a routine play. Yeah you did your job. Now get the ***** back to the huddle and ready for the next play. Morons

What about Fran Tarkentein (sp?) for the Vikes? I would consider him a sidearm quarterback.

You are looking on the wrong side of the ball for your answers, Conkytonk. Your DEFENSE has to be as good as the PATS to make a run at them.

We loved Smith while he was here, but he is very one-dimensional. Good going straight ahead, but he doesn't have the speed to run laterally or the ability to hit small holes. It will take the 3 backs you mentioned to do the things Eddie did.

No controversy at all. Not with Joe Gibbs in the house. That stuff won't fly. Refreshing.....

Refreshing....a Cowboy's player fails a drug test, and he gets cut!! In the past, he would have received a bonus!!!!

For those who missed it, Quincy Carter, the starting QB for the Cowboys was waived today for "undisclosed" reasons. It has been widely reported that he failed a drug test, probably for cocaine.

Cowboy fans, you are in trouble. Your starter now is Vinny Testaverde, who, if he starts, will be the 2nd oldest starting QB of all time, behind only Warren Moon. You've gone from a QB on Cocaine to one on Geritol.

Drew Henson was brought in to be the QB of the future, but early returns from camp say that he is FAR from ready. This is a guy who played minor league baseball, but couldn't make it, partially due to his inability to make the throw from 3rd to 1st. Now he can't make the throw from the pocket to a receiver. He has been hitting guys in the feet.

So far, Tony Romo looks like your best QB. (WHO? Exactly!)

Signed last year as an undrafted FA out of Eastern Illinois, where he set pretty much every Div. 2 record for a QB. He has a great arm, solid head, and, coincidentally, went to my High School and shares my birthday. So I'm rooting for him!

Big Game Torry Holt and the rest of the crew are ready to go (except for Leonard Little  , Grant Wistrom  , Kyle Turley) Okay, so maybe we might be missing a few guys :-? But I'm excited and ready to go. The greatest show on turf is ready for lift off!

You need to look on the other side of the ball to determine how your team will do this year. You had a top level defense the two years you went to the Super Bowl. You can't score when the other team has the ball.
