WE JUST GOT BACK FROM NEW ORLEANS. WE SPENT MOST OF SATURDAY NIGHT AT MARGARITAVILLE. THE GUY THAT WAS PLAYING WAS VERY GOOD. MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WERE CREEPING OUT ALL OF THE NON-PARROTHEADS BY REQUESTING AND SINGING EVERY WORD TO EVERY BUFFETT SONG HE PLAYED. I WAS VERY SURPRISED HOW SMALL THE BAR WAS AND THE FACT THAT THEY CLOSED AT MIDNIGHT.
WE LEFT THERE AND WENT TO COYOTE UGLY. I PAID $12.00 FOR 2 BEERS . THAT WASN'T AS BAD $14.00 FOR 2 BEERS AT THE HUSTLER CLUB.
THE CITY WAS VERY COOL. OVERALL, IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND WILL DEFIANTLY GO BACK.
I KNOW NEXT TIME IT WILL BE CHEAPER TO PAY MORE FOR A HOTEL AND STAY CLOSER TO BOURBON ST. THEN TO TAKE A TAXI EVERYWHERE.
I love the Margaritaville there! I think it could have been in a better location though. It's too far off Bourbon St. It's a pretty long walk from Canal St. Oh well, at least there is no shortage of places to buy beer along the way.

I'm on top of the world, lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
You're love's put me at the top of the world
I'm so jealous. I love the Margaritaville in Nawlins....it's pretty near the french market, and you can't get any better than combining Margaritas with shopping. Did you ride the streetcars through the Garden District? Did you go down to Lafitte's and have a voodoo daquiri (like a grape slurpy until the alchohol hits you by surprise)? That place is the most haunted place I've ever been in. When you step inside the place, you immediately feel, and sometimes see the ghosts. And they also end up on your photographs if you take pictures of the inside. Not kidding, it's very cool if you like spooky stuff.
Do not resent growing old. Many are denied the privilege.
I've been there 3 times and never stepped foot outside the Quarter. I've heard the Garden District is nice, but I was too addicted to the bars in the quarter. BTW, next to Margaritaville is the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. Try it sometime.

WOW... that sounds like a neat place. I will put it on my list for next time. There is soooooooooooo much to do there, its cazy!!!
We went to Margaritaville on Friday night. The food was good, but the waitress was lousy. Of course the Margaritas were great. Our hotel was on Bourbon so we didn't have much walking to do. We ended up at the Piano Bar in Pat O'Briens. Great fun in a great city.

Same addiction here, I was on Bourbon St for a Bachelor Party and only left to go to Harrah's Casino one night. I went to Margaritaville to discover that the bartender used to play football with my room mate from college. It really is a small world. Now that I remember it, I did take the trolley through the Garden District. Pretty nice but 99.8% of my time was spent in the Bourbon St bars and clubs. What a blast!
