From Drudge Report: Info 3 Years Old!

Much of the information that led authorities to raise the terror alert at several large financial institutions in the NY and D.C. areas was 3 or 4 years old... NYT Tuesday Page One Splash To Claim: Intelligence and law enforcement officials 'had not yet found concrete evidence that a terror plot or preparatory surveillance operations were still under way'... WASH POST Page One: Alerts Stemmed from Pre-9/11 Acts /// 'There is nothing right now that we're hearing that is new,' said one senior law enforcement official who was briefed on the alert. 'Why did we go to this level?... I still don't know that'... POST: 'Most of the information was compiled prior to the Sept. 11 attacks and that there are serious doubts about the age of other, undated files'...

So the information is 3 or 4 years old. Do you think the September 11 attacks were planned overnight? I saw a quote in the paper today something along the lines that this information shows the terrorists were on Part 1, maybe they're up to Part 5 by now.

What do you think would happen if we ignored this information and 4 weeks from now when the Republican convention is in Madison Square Garden the Citigroup Building, which, by the way, is only a short walk from my office, was blown up?

Here is what I don't understand. First there is criticism that old information was disregarded. Now there is criticism that old information is being used.

I'm not saying anything. I just posted a headline from the Drudge Report. Isn't the Drudge Report a Right Wing Republican web site?

Personally, I think there is a long way to go with the war on terror and I have a hard time believing it's one of Bush's top priorities.

How about just shooters discretion? Because sometimes there are acts of stupidity so hideous that it requires an instant shooting.

A president has to think about more than one thing at a time. That's why he has people working for him to do the focusing on a given subject. Presidents who micro-manage get too caught up to see the big picture.

I'LL SET UP A DEPT FOR IT ONCE I BECOME DICTATOR.
I ALSO AM CONSIDERING AUTHORIZING DIFFERENT CALIBERS FOR DIFFERENT INFRACTIONS.USE A .22 FOR MINOR INFRACTIONS AND A .40 FOR LARGER ONES.SPECIAL LICENSES WILL BE ISSUED FOR THE USE OF LARGE CALIBER RIFLES SUCH AS A 300 WINMAG.
