It is awesome. My wife and I got married on the beach on Ohau, then went to Lanai for 4 days and then Maui for 4 days.'

If you are already going to Maui for the main part of your trip and you want to see Lanai, then take the ferry from Lahaina (Maui). It takes about 40 minutes and is relatively cheap. Do not do what I did - go all the way back to airport and deal with getting on and off a plane, waiting around, etc. My favority thing to do on Lahaina is renting a four wheel drive jeep and going to the beach. They will give you an off-road map and you can find your own deserted beach. No one around for miles.66horse wrote:Go to the island of Lanai!

Course you could always do a camping thing too. I just talked to some folks that did that. They couldn't afford to many nights in a beach hotel so they did a few and camped the rest. They loved it.
