I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure which one to suggest. For the more traditional country music fan I was thinking Boats to Build or Trip Around the Sun, but I think Piece of Work would also go over well.

Something different would be nice, because although HGL is an okay song, it is far from one of the better songs on the CD, but unfortunately I have seen this phenomenon since the dawn of music. The best songs are never the singles that are released.

The mainstream radio station goes with only playing singles that are given to them by the label. And because of the many big name country artists that sing on HGL, it was the obvious choice to aid album sales. My dad recalls a radio station in NY that used to play non-singe album tracks also. We need more of those.

I hear HGL at a minimum of at least once a day on the local country stations......it's great to hear Jimmy on the radio. This really has nothing to do with this thread, but I heard APLA40 this afternoon on the radio on my way home from a fire assignment and I'm tellin' ya......after 14 days of no music, that sure was music to my ears!!!!! Now I'm at home listening to non-stop Jimmy and enjoying a few beers!!

Since I left FLA 3 years ago, I haven't found a station here. Mostly I listen to CD's. All Jimmy, all the time :D . But, a co-worker comes in, puts the radio on (and turn's my CD's off! ) and to serve her right, LTC was playing! She didn't mean any harm but I thought it was a great happenstance. So, unless she's at work with me, I don't listen to the regular-ole radio. (Pronounced RED-EE-OH in my town! )

The Sound 107.1 in Myrtle Beach plays 1 hour of Buffett on Sunday nights from 6:00 - 7:00. Only heard the whole program once so far, but they seem willing to play any song, and take requests.
