Jimmy doing Kerry tour?
the news page says yes. I haven't seen his name on the moveon.org website. Doesn't sound like Jimmy's style to do this tour.

He prob won't - but look for him to show up at the west palm airport days before the election. You won't hear about it in the news but the local democraticcampaign office will knowwhen it is. Most likely Monday - mid afternoon and if history repeats - a rally, not a concert so be prepared to hear anti-Bush speeches by Bill Nelson and others. It's pretty cool to see Jimmy up that close!

I always thought that Jimmy chose to stay out of politics, for whatever reason?! I like artists that say out of politics though for many reasons...and I'm glad that Jimmy isn't on CNN or other stations giving his piece on the upcoming election. I feel like he really sees himself as just another person, and another vote.

I sure hope not. I know JB is a big supporter of the Dems, but I just try and ignore that flaw....

I don't think JB will do this for business reasons. He's finally getting country air play. If he would have the nerve to campaign for John Kerry, he would be pulled off of Clear Channel radio Nationwide! I think there are 2 or 3 other country "hits" on the new cd. Notice, you don't see many country artists speaking out?

Celebrities on CNN are just another person and another vote too... they just happen to have access to exposure. Doesn't mean they're any more important or that they THINK they're any more important.Fins21 wrote:and I'm glad that Jimmy isn't on CNN or other stations giving his piece on the upcoming election. A lot of times it's about starting a public discussion... sometimes it takes folks with a higher profile to get the converstation going...
