Word is that if Massachussettes were a swing state (I guess Kerry being from mass and being the ONLY state to vote dem in 84 kinda eliminates it), and if Jimmy were playing the vote for change tour, and if the vote for change tour chose great woods as a venue, then Jimmy would be coming to great woods.

But since it ISN'T a swing state, and since he's NOT on that tour, it doesn't matter.

Not to be nitpicky, but hell froze over in 1984, and Massachusetts DID vote Republican. (The distinction of the only state to go Democrat that year belongs to my great neighbor to the north-Minnesota).
In 1972, however, Massachusetts WAS the only state to vote Democrat.

Correct you are...Reagan won Mass by a very slim margin in 84. Mondale only won his home state on Minn in 1984.
