I am a mom and surely no doctor but I'd say have baby looked at asap. Mollie was fine when Jim's md checked her out when she was tiny but he told me then, "That's not to say something won't develop. But now, she looks fine". That "something" developed! We matched the flowers on her dress to her new glasses and off to kindergarten she went this morning. KNOWING she was beautiful, with and without specs! She will be Dorothy this Halloween...in glasses! Is your little one going to be a pirate??? We did that once too and it worked very well.
"Mommy, when is Jimmy Buffett coming to OUR house? We go see him ALL THE TIME??" (Actual quote from my 5 y/o keet)

Hi....
If you have any doubts or concerns with your 5 week old (wow you have your hands full  ), just ask what your pediatrician thinks on the little ones next check up........ The Doctor knows whats best for their patients....... I would be concerned if the baby was already exhibiting signs & symptoms, but it is hard to detect at such a young age....... When my youngest daughter was almost 2 years old, we thought one of her eyes was turning in. So we went to a pediatric Opthamologist and I learned something I never knew...... With my daughter, the bridge of her nose was not yet fully developed and the skin of the bridge was ever so slightly over lapping the inner part of the eye, making it appear that her eye was turning in when in fact it was perfectly normal....... I now how it feels being a parent in these situations as well as explaining to parents what is going on with their child as well...... Don't be afraid to ask the Doctor any of your concerns...... But also, don't worry too much as well.... They grow up toooooooooo damn fast....... My two girls are 14 & 9 now........ My wife and I are both 36 and are enjoying a little more freedom of their independence, but I sure wish they were little again....... Take care & be well......... :D
