I had it narrowed down to Lefty and McNair and I went with personal feelings. Usually not a good idea in fantasy, but I can't stand Steve McNair. I was living in Orlando up until two weeks ago and I heard the opposite on Lefty. They're looking for a huge breakout year from him and they're saying he's got natural leadership qualities. I keep thinking back to his senior year with the Herd and the image of his boys carrying him down the field when he hurt his stick. I got a good feeling about him.

Well I thank you for McNair. He is my 1st week starter against the Dolphins. Anyone can pass for miles against their defense :) I like McNair. Starting him over Hasselback. Shows you what I think of his chances in week 1.

i dropped Janikowski and picked up Shayne Graham and have dropped Randy Gardner and picked up Roy Williams. I missed Williams on draft day. I was running out of time on my Gardner pick. I knew I needed a WR and I just chose the highest rated WR. From what i read out of Detroit, Williams is looking real good.

As for a Leftowich I was just going on what i was reading on the Jags message boards I have been reading. I still don't think I would trade Air McNair for Lefty today if offered.

My big mistake, and I mean BIG, was passing on Moss on my second pick. The #14 pick and Moss was still on the board. I can not believe I chose D. Davis over Moss. I had a mental block to get my RBs early and it totally clouded my reasoning.

What was wrong with C-bass? Graham's a good choice though. They've been talking him up pretty good in the fishwrap. Seems like everybody else is pretty quiet in the league. Hope it picks up a little.

I wasn't sure if he would come to the games sober :) Plus I wasn't sure if the Raiders would score enough points. PAT are worth one pt. I don't see the Raiders scoring enough this year. I look for my beloved whodey boys to put big points on the boards this year, which in turn bodes well for a kicker. Since signing the new contract SG has not missed a PAT. Look for the Bengals to come out smoking this year.

You do know that Leftwich is hurt already correct? Nothing major. Injured finger I believe. He is suppose to play but he just scared me. I backed away from him on one of my picks. I am starting AirMcNair over Hasselback this week. Look for McNair to put up big ###s again the Dolphins D.

I'd be careful. I look for the Phins D to step it up this week. They know they are gonna have to play their arses off to keep them in games with no offense. I look for them to step it up, especially early in the season. Of course, as a fan, I may be hoping a little too. As far as QB's, I've got three of them, so I'm not too concerned.

The Steelers D scares me. Other than that I am all set. How can I fail at QB with McNair, Palmer and Hassleback. RB with Taylor, D Davis, Westbrook and McGahee, and WR with J Smith, I Bruce, Roy Williams, J. Walker... Just keep the injury bug away from my team :)

I am still searching around for my answer on McNair or Hasslebeck. I can not come to a conclusion on that matter. I am starting McNair but that could change. I look for the Saints D to be standing tall against the Seahawks.

So I think everyone did pretty good with their drafts. I feel really good about the team I drafted. I think I'll be able to hang at the top with some of you.

Good choice on picking up Roy Williams. I was going to take him but noticed that I had too many other WR with the same Bye week. I took Leftwich in another league as my backup. I agree that he could have a huge year. I picked him up late last year and he performed well the week I used him when my starting QB had a bye.

Just a little reminder there is a game on Thurs. Good Luck to all from the Whinning Winos ( or is it the winning winos)

Yeah, I can't wait to watch the Colts beat the hell out of the Pats. I'm not sure but I think it's the Raiders against the Winos first week, tough matchup. I'm just trying to figure out what whinning means. Is whinning what women do when they don't get their way? Just curious.

You are correct. Winos vs. the Raiders in week 1. I gotta give hte edge to the Winos in the QB, K, DEF. (Based upon the two matchups. You are going against the Vikes!) and I think I also like their WRs better. Who will throw the ball to Tomer??? I do like your K better this week though again based on the matchup.

I will be fun!!!!

My league this year did an auction style draft. That REALLY changes how you rank the players cause now you have a chance at everyone, but you really have to watch the money and have a spending plan.

I am really happy with my team thought. Got McNabb, Tomlinson, Corey Dillon, Peerless Price, Todd Heap, Burleson (#2 receiver at Minnesota) plus some others. Have high hopes for the year ifn the injury bug stays clear!!!

I have been in those in baseball in the past. Never did real well in those type drafts. I always spent way tooooo much on the first player. Then I didn't have any $ left for my later picks.... Sort of like real life I think :)

As for Dillon being a Bengals fans I wouldn't have touched him with a ten foot pole. That is just my personal opinion though. I just can't see myself rooting for him on my fantasy team.

I still think I need to imporve my D but I am not seeing any good trades coming up. Gimme a couple more weeks when I players start to perform then... :) Guess I am just very uneasy with the Steelers. Some teams really are thin already it looks like... Not naming name though. One team has at least two injured players that I can see real quick. They are in dire need of help. Wish I played them in week one!!!

Who you got for your defense?

I'm ready to go. I'm a little nervous the first week. I'm going to need some big games from some guys that s***, but I've got a pretty good shot. My biggest worry is going up against the Tennessee defense who play my beloved Phins that couldn't score on a coked out hooker.

If you think you are nervous, I have the Steelers D!!! At least this week they are only playing the Raiders and it is in Pittsburg so I might be ok this week.

I am still contemplating pulling McNair and replacing him with Hasselbeck. Guess I like my chances with McNair against the Phins. Any word on that game yet? I had heard it might be cancelled due to the storm. That would be real weird. Wonder how that would score then. I would definitely need to start Hasselbeck then. I can't seem to find whether they are having that game or not. If you see anything on that let me know.

That's a tough call. The next couple of days are going to be crucial. The talking heads are saying that Ivan is taking a pretty similar path as the last two storms. That would make the landfall sometime late weekend, which would most likely close Miami down. I'm wondering if they're ever going to play the Cane/FSU game?
