Today only Airtran has specials flying to and from Atlanta (travel must be prior to Nov. 10). Prices start as low as $49. Obviously this price isn't available for Friday & Saturdays, still I'm trying to find a reason to make a trip to the deep south.

Yeah, it kills me. I can go to the Bahamas for $100 round-trip, but Vegas is $180!

Airtran bought Valuejet. However, Airtran recently upgraded their fleet so they are no longer flying the same planes.
Airtran is one of your true BUDGET carriers. Their selling point is low one-way fares which is great for business travellers. Its similar to Southwest, but Airtran flies to major airports.
