It's Bob's fault - if he woulda just shared his pot, this whole mess could have been avoided. However, the person with the twinkies might have been in trouble.

Until you add guns to the equation. Wasn't the Colt called "The Great Equalizer"?

Would make it a little tough to relax at night...

So you'd advocate the elimination of all laws? Laws are only our answer to the problem of proecting people from natural law.

The founding fathers subscribed to the theory that laws should protect us from natural law.

Lee you are right but what has been "ruled" on from the courts sometimes doesn't resemble the FFs ideas great as they are.
and I'm kidding..mostly a good beating would do for theft
but you hurt one of my family and the best thing to do would
be to run to the cops. and confess

and that did not work last time.

This system works up to the point where you make a mistake in identifying the perpetrator. Protecting the innocent is the PRIMARY job of the court system, not convicting the guilty.

Again I'm talking dead bang guilt here ,if there is a question
fine. Dick Tracy can solve the crime.

Either way, Daddys money and politcal power made all the charges go away. Bush is just one example. Big money gets scoundrels freedom everyday.
You are kidding, right? I don't think murder convictions are "bought off" in the same manner as misdemeanors. Didn't that Michael Skakel assclown get convicted recently? And he was a Kennedy.....I'm not saying I agree with our court system, but I don't think your example has anything to do with what's being discussed here.

No, murder convictions aren't bought off, but it's widely accepted that those with the $$ are more likely to get fair representation. If you can afford the good lawyers, you're chances of getting a fair trial are better.

There is also a huge disparity the way certain crimes are prosecuted and punished depending on your social class. One only has to look at the difference in which cocaine versus crack users are punished.
