Fruitcake would fit just about every cat I've known. The only execption was a nasty calico named Bogart.

Yeah, I'd say anything over 10 bucks is kinda steep for a disposable pet.

I figured it would just avoid confusion for the cat when the Chinese kids in the neighbourhood grab him for use at the buffet...

Ours are named Athena, Diana, and Apollo (and they certainly think they rule the heavens and earth  ), and two recently rescued additions, Emily and her kitten Emma. We (ok, I) worried that our yellow Lab (Kary) or the boxer (Pretty Girl) would think the kitten was a squeaky toy, but they all get along and the dogs protect the cats. Only the Chihuahua puppy (Holly-she was a Christmas present) drags Emma around by her ears, but they all play pretty well together.

3500 is for a show quality breeder, not a pet (and I didn't pay anywhere near that for Diamonds).

Well, hello!..........CITCAT, of course!  But I had a Russian blue cat like Zanth's, it was the most beautiful cat with amazing green eyes! I loved my little Joey. Their fur, according to the light, looks sometimes blue/grey and sometimes purple/grey. And he talked a lot! :)
