How 'bout Kinja? (DSTC)

You should definitely look into the shelters. There seems to always be an overabundance of them......of all different shapes, sizes and breeds. Many of 'em wind up being put down......

I've had 3 Siamese (2 half & 1 full)... I suggest getting a mixed Siamese or a Himalayan if you're ever interested in them. Full Siamese can be a little cranky. The 2 half Siamese I've had were 2 of the most wonderful animals ever to grace Earth...especially Kitty, my first cat. 2nd one was named Casey (because at 10 years old I liked the Greatful Dead 8) ) And the third Siamese, the evil one, is named Jordan. Yep...after Mike.

Now on to my 2 current pets. Momma is named Alice, after my fave rock band of all time... Alice in Chains. Alice in Wonderland also happens to be my favorite childrens story/fairytale, so that also factored into her name. But when it came to my baby cat, I had a real hard time naming her. I wanted a Buffettesque name as well, but didn't want to name her the obvious like Lola or Carmen. I came close to going an entirely different direction and almost named her Madonna, but I instead chose Rasta. Rasta narrowly beat out Marley simply because one of my friends told me she had a dog named Marley that was tragically hit by a car and she would just cry everytime she heard the name... so the baby is named Rasta by default.

Plus, you will come up with so many nicknames for your pets, the name isn't always that crucial. I call Rasta a fat ass or chubs or pudge most of the time anyway. She comes to me with whatever name I call her...even if it's mean!!
Image`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

3500 is for a show quality breeder, not a pet (and I didn't pay anywhere near that for Diamonds).
BUT IT'S STILL JUST A CAT :-?
This from a man that bought a Hummer.

Their fur, according to the light, looks sometimes blue/grey and sometimes purple/grey. And he talked a lot! :)

You sure he was a "he"? :D

there was no user error involved,i didnt even get the chance to hammer the thing off road,it just broke way too often.and after talking to alot of H1 owners i found out that it's just a normal thing with those trucks.i could afford to fix it because i do all the work myself and get parts cheap but i had no confidence in it and i travel alot of miles and didnt want to deal with waiting for the next part to break.
oh well, live and learn.at least i can say i owned one

ever see the movie "A Christmas Story" ? remember the bumpasses, the redneck neighbors that had a million dogs? well we have the cat version of the bumpasses..yes, we call them that. i am not kidding, i have counted 15 cats in their yard at 1 time. they dont get them fixed, and they keep multipling. im an animal lover, but peeps need to be responsible!
Thanks Pop for introducing me to the music, you will always be my favorite Jimmy!!
