Any word on how Key West survived Hurricane Charley?

I hope all my favorite haunts made it without any damage! I saw a picture of a guy hanging on to the Southern Most Point Cone while the wind was blowing.
Can't wait for MOTM 04!
14 hours and three different airplanes to get there, but worth every minute and every cent to fly there ($600). Montana- you know you can't get there from here!

Looks like piece of cake??? for Key West... compared to south central west FL... oh brother...
A friend of mine retired to Arcadia in March. She has one of the only remaining homes (prefab) in her retirement village. Others are gee oh ennn eeee. GONE.

Was there the week before, and callled our friend shannon today who has lived there since 93', she says everything's fine, a little trash here and there and some minor damage but not as bad as the one a few years ago.

Trying to reason...

Key West is fine. As for the rest of Florida I can't say the same. Going on day five without power and I hear it will feel like 105. West coast got hit hard and us Parrotheads in Central Florida are feeling the effects still. I think it would nice if Jimmy did disaster relief concerts to help those who could use a little escape. All I know is I need to bribe a friend with power and a computer to get tickets for Vegas this Saturday. Taking the folks for the 50th to see Jimmy. They would be the AARP Parrotheads.
Help those who really need your help. Contact the Red Cross today.

Ick - Amy Lee's folks are in Port Charlotte, pretty much Ground Zero for Charley - but they are ok, a fair amount of damage to their home, and were told it may be 2 weeks until they get power back....
