Question for Parrothead GOP's...

First of all, it does not seem like there are many of us on this board, but my brother asked me an interesting question last night after I told him that Jimmy is playing a benefit concert for Kerry & Friends on the 21st...

Would you pay the $1000 and support the Democratic Party if you knew it was to be Jimmy's last show?

Would you sacrifice principle for phun?

I don't want to start a political war here, just a question.

Gee Snake, according to this there are more of us here than you think:

I wouldn't pay that much to see anybody, least of all a Dem fundraiser, even if it included a "meet & greet" opportunity. I have better uses for my "fun ticket" money.

I guess there's not much left after you get done paying all of us to pretend we like you.

I wouldn't give a penny to the Dems even if Jesus himself showed up. Sorry...gotta stick to my principals.

No way. Gotta stick to my beliefs. Even if there was a "meet & greet" after, I would still have to say no. I am not a big fan of politics in general and wouldn't want to have to pretend I wanted to hear what was being spewed from all directions -- including Jimmy and his political beliefs.

As much money as I've spent on Jimmy Buffett over the years, he'd have to pay ME $1000.00 to come hear him at a democratic political rally, last preformance or not.
For that matter, so would ANYBODY, whether they're Jimmy BUFFETT or Jimmy CRACK CORN.

No.

I've spent a considerable amount of money over the last 25 years on Jimmy's cassettes, CDs, concerts, travel expenses and books that he's written.

But I wouldn't pay $1000 for a ticket to see Jimmy's last show even if it was a fundraiser for the GOP right here on my front porch.

I pay my hard-earned money to Jimmy for recording new CD's, playing concerts and writing books that I will enjoy. It his job to entertain me - and thousands like me.

I'll do my own research and make my own decisions on who to vote for. I've not invited him to participate in that process. It doesn't matter if his beliefs match mine or not.

Mea Culpa... I failed to read the full subject. You were only asking GOP members. Disregard my response :)

If I had a $1000.00 to waste I’d put it to better use than funding a Dem, Bubba’s last show or not.
