Martina McBride in Chicago Thursday

Post by Mr Play »

This is a direct quote from Martina McBride's official website; http://www.martinamcbride.com. Go to the Interactive Section, click on Bulletin Board and look in the "Latest News" thread.

"Here is what is coming up in the near future: Thursday the 26th of August Martina is going to Chicago to sing with Jimmy Buffett - the record company is releasing "Trip Around The Sun" as a single and CMT will be in Chicago to cover the show."
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving

Sweeeeeet!!! Looks like I'll be part of a video on Thursday. Here's hoping they will have to sing it a couple of times to get it right!

I'm conflicted here. Should I be excited about this because it's so awesomely cool or upset because I can't be there? We'll go with a mix of the two. And does every one of Jimmy's videos have to be live performances?

That's FANTASTIC!

It should be one hell of a show, and I'll absolutely be there.

I know that Jimmy doesn't like shooting videos. He said so in the LTC radio release party. Shooting a live video is probably a compromise between him and the record label. They get a video and he just entertains like he always does. I like the live videos because you can see how much fun he is still having. I mean, who else in the music business is up there laughing their ass off the whole time?

Too Cool!!!!

The wife handled tickets this year and scored second row. Think I might need to stay sober for this show.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

Good point.... Chance of that happening as slim to none, but it was the thought that count.... :lol

The key word was "might".   However, I still appreciate the help!

The wife being a country fan and a huge Martina fan on top of it can not control herself right now and has already started conditioning her liver for the show. :o

Possible LIVE tapping and video along with great seats. We can't wait till Thursday.

(sorry, little excited)

Oh, I don't mind the live videos at all. I agree it shows how much fun the shows are, but JB is a very creative guy, I would love to see what he could do with videos for his songs with the record label money.

I like the live video's - it's a more natural setting for him, compared to some on Tales from Margaritavision! And they include parrotheads!

Jimmy's an entertainer, but also a hell-of-a business man. Less cost in shooting the video live and showing us/them having fun. 3 more days!!!!
