Tailgating must be confined to your car space and you must be packed up and moving to the facility at 6:00 PM. This will be enforced. This will help you avoid standing in a long line to get in and potentially miss some of the show. Also, if you are holding lawn tickets, this is your chance to get in early and claim you r real estate!
Please also be aware that traffic on south-bound I-805 and I-5 can be very heavy at rush hour. We encourage you to leave home early in order to arrive at the amphitheatre in plenty of time.

Hey I have 4 lawn tickets, don't know if the show sold out or not. Slowly but surely everyone I purchased the tix for have backed out, I'm working on convincing my roommate to come out, but I'll prob have at least 2 extra tix and will be in search of a cool tailgate to crash -- any suggestions? I'm coming down right after work, I live in San Clemente, CA -- should be there by 6/6:30. Two years ago I caught up with a crew with a nice size stage and huge wheel to spin -- the SD show has some tailgatign reminiscent of the shows I've caught at Nissan Pavilion....Drop me an email at clsacav@hotmail.com
still time to start a new life in the palm trees......

Yeah!! I'm at work and I went to the front office for something and they're like, "Jen, there's a message about Jimmy Buffett on the phone...." (Of course they asked me about it first ) I don't remember giving them my work # Good thing I wasn't planning on "sneaking" off to the show!

OK, I guess here is where the bus may come in handy....will be there at noon (open lot or not) with the awnings extended on the bus to keep the raindrops from falling on our heads....
Geez, does not rain in six months.....now rain possible. Funny luck. Whatever, should be a kick no matter what! See all of you there!
yeah this weather is a joke. We set a new records with 180 something consecutive days without rain, and then as soon as concert week rolls around, its raining cats and dogs. Oh well, lawn folks just remember to bring some extra blankets to sit on in case the ground is soggy up there.
I got the phone message as well about the gates opening at 3:30pm. If they're serious about that, then there will still be a huge tailgating crowd, just spread out in one long line.
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

PH4 and other friends....
In other Buffett cities like Chicago and Ft Lauderdale, and even Irvine that tell phans they can not get in until 3 pm or so, there are ALWAYS impromptu tailgates that end up:
- Outside the venue lined up on the street (Irvine & Lauderdale)
- In a vacant lot nearby (Lauderdale and Chicago)
- Roaming and honking their horns until the gates open (all)
This is our hometown show, let's all go early and go nuts. They can send all the emails they want, my delete key works just fine.
I'm keepin' faith that this front will be done with us and gone by mid-day Wed, so that I can promptly start slammin' cold pops by 12:30pm (3:30 eastern!).
That should cleanse the palette sufficiently to start savoring frosty marg's by 3, start grillin' the cheeseburgers (or tri-tips, as it may be! ) and set a course for
happy hour vodka red bulls by 5.
Then the real fun will begin...
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!
The Jimmy Buffett concert is a "Rain or Shine" event. There is a chance of rain on the show day.
We DO NOT allow umbrellas inside the facility. We suggest you bring rain gear just in case.
If you have a lawn ticket, we DO NOT allow lawn chairs, however, you can bring a towel, small blanket or plastic garbage bag (or similar) to sit on.
We look forward to seeing you!"
I saw conflicting forecasts about rain on Wednesday. I choose to believe the one that says the rain ends Tuesday, but either way I don't care. See you all there.
does anyone know of someone who wants to go to the jimmy buffett show and who doesnt have and can't afford a ticket? i have a proposition for them. we need a driver for a 15 passenger van. i'm willing to give them a lawn ticket for their time. if they've got their own 15 passenger van, i'll give them 2 reserved seats. my friends and i are sweet spirits. male or females are allowed to apply. as long as they enjoy some good clean, alcohol free for them, fun. send me a private message with your phone number and i'll call you back. or i can send you my phone number too. phins up! 2 more days to go!

Thats not too far away....Its off Aero Drive near Montgomery Field...in the Tierra Santa area. When are you getting into San Diego? I could probably come pick you up and we are having a caravan going to the show. Of course we get there around noon....
We're getting there around 1:30 On Tuesday afternoon... Heading to some bar (friend says it's a local Sox bar with players painted on the wall) that night to watch the Sox play... Come out and join us if you'd like I sent you a response to you're PM... We can leave whatever time you need us to be ready that day...
COOL....The best Sox hangout in that area is called Players. Good food, good drinks and its all Sox fans
We need directions to this place... for tuesday!!
Take Sandrock Road ro Aero Drive to the 163 north. Exit Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Go west on Clairemont Mesa Blvd for about 2 miles. You will pass a K-Mart and a bowling ally on your left. Then you'll pass Kearny Mesa Ford on the left. The place is in the shopping plaza that is next to the Ford dealership on the left. You'll need to go down to the light and do a u-turn to get into the parking lot.

Just a note on the directions, take Aero Drive West, to Kearny Villa Road North (there is no on-ramp to 163 North on Aero). Kearny Villa will parallel 163, so take that to Clairemont Mesa and go west. It’s at Shawline at Clairemont Mesa on the S/W corner in the shopping center.
The old man on the TV just said something about 2 inches of rain on Wednesday…
