Although, tickets aren't on sale yet, plans are starting to be made. I live in Northwest Oregon (Albany) and will be driving down I-5, in my coool Hippy Vee Dub Bus!! Parrotnormal and Parrotnoid are joining me...
Picking up Island Hopper in Medford, OR.....
Who would like to join us?
Where will everyone be staying?
Mason, are you joining us in San Jose?

and continuing down the 5?
BB,
Welcome to San Diego!
You may want to stay downtown in the Gaslamp district. All price points from Courtyard to the W. Lot;s of fun, over 70 bars and restaurants. I live in a high rise condo downtown, and swear by the place...mucho fun.
Look for my group at the show, we should arrive by 10 am. Stop by for a cocktail or two. Look for a new 40" tour bus style motorhome, gold and brown. "FINS BUS" California license plates and the bus has "Meet Me in Margaritaville" painted on the back. Me, my fiance, and 20 others will be going strong.

BTT!
I can't wait either!! 42 days and counting!
So I'm looking into places to stay......where is the BN crowd going to be? I've been looking at the Holiday Inn Express/Chula Vista, the Best Western/Chula Vista Inn and the Seacoast Inn/Imperial Beach. I'm liking the Seacoast Inn because it's right on the beach and not too far from the show (about 10 miles). I don't think any of these places are too fancy but they're reasonably priced. Does anyone here from that area have any opinions of those places or any other suggestions? Thanks!!
Let's get a list going of San Diego-bound parrotheads! So far I think it's going to be:
island_hopper
tgr8one
Beach Blonde
Parrotnormal
Parrotnoid
Cuz and friends
Ladyparrothead
MA_Buffett_Fan23
ragtopw
coronacliff
Lightning Bolt

Island Hopper (and others)
I really don't think you want to stay in Chula Vista. You would have the most fun staying in the gaslamp area downtown (or close to it, very close, it gets bad quickly) or in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach or Mission Bay and the drive to the show may be easier than from Imperial Beach. Even Mission Valley/Hotel Circle would be OK as it is close to all the fun places you might want to visit. But this is merely one man's opinion. Others may not agree with me.

Thanks Adam!
Another thing to consider.....how many of you would be interested in trying to stay at the same hotel?
Beach Blonde, where are you? Check your pm's.........

Island Hopper,
You may want to try the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown San Diego.
Not badly priced, nice.
It is nearby all of the fun in the Gaslamp. I live down here in a high rise condo, lots of fun. The Bitter End, Dick's Last Resort, etc. fun bars.

Do you mean a single pavilion. If so pavilions tickets are usually good for the lawn.

This is posted on the ticketmaster site....anyone think they are serious???
Show starts promptly at 8:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Parking lots open at 3:30 PM. Please DO NOT come earlier. Chula Vista Municipal Ordinance which prohibits open alcoholic beverage containers in the parking lot. City police officers will be enforcing this ordinance. Any tailgating must be confined to your car space and NO tailgating after 6:30 PM. You must be packed up and moving to the facility entrances at that time. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.
