Can someone who has the DVD tell us poor souls who are still waiting what tracks are on it? Any info is appreciated. I just hope the mailman delivers a surprise before I leave for Tinley (Water) Park.

Got both in the mail yesterday. I have not yet heard the CD (I will put it on shortly) but I did watch the DVD. It starts with some scenes of Honolulu and a small bit of pre show footage. It then has the start of the show and "Great Heart", "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw" and "Volcano". All of it is from the Waikiki Shell concert. It is really good (I may be biased though since I was at that show). I was even able to spot myself as a blur in one of the crowd shots, identified by my loud blue shirt. What a great extra.

ditto. CD's going in right now! Did anyone else not get a playlist with this CD? I was just wondering if Hawaii didn't come with a track list or it's just mine.

I just watched and wrote some comments.

The first part shows outriggers that say WAKIKI

It shows shots of people on the beach and surfing.

They show shots that look like Honolulu...city shots of tall buildings.
There's an outrigger in the ocean, loaded with folks all padding.

They show some beautiful lighthouse shots.

While playing One Particular Harbour they show sound check and shots of band members and folks walking in to the show.

They show the Shell. Then a beautiful sunset and the lighted marquee saying
THE PARTY OF THE YEAR...Jimmy Buffett!!

There is a beautiful tropical stage set.

Beginning has the drummers and the dancers. You know the one they've been doing to open the concerts... The Reeferette dancing girls really move.

There is a guy twirling fire. Boy, he is quite impressive...what a cute little skort :)

Aloha Hawaii...Jimmy has on a red shirt with tropical print pockets and back. Barefoot...

Great Heart...

Amy has a great shot at one point with a winning smile.

There is a really serious shot of Doyle...so intent

Great close-up of Mac. The girls have on floral print dresses and the band has on their off white with coral tiki shirts. Good shots of all the band.

Jimmy tries to booger down with the dancers...it is funny. He was so loose.

He is playing blue guitar with blue tiki guitar strap.

Introduces Polynesian love song...
Next shot with his uke, he has a beautiful plumeria lei on.
There is a prop that says Tiki Bar Is Open behind Nadirah...she has a great smile while
Jimmy says...."UH OH, The fleets in" Sailors are on the stage dancing with Jules...
they have a conga line going.

Tina and Mike both have their ukes swaying to the music.

Why Don't We Get Drunk...shows great shots of the crowd...they are sitting
but then stand up!! :)

Jimmy notices then that they have marines in the conga line.

Hawaiian Style...Jimmy does a little wave over his head.
Then the crowd is shown swaying overhead too.

At the end of song Jimmy goes over to shake hands with some of the military guys.

Henry Kopono comes out. Kopono is looking great..having fun. He wears a cool Tiki shirt.
and blue jeans.

Wooooooo hooooooooo.
I really love this version of Volcano
Roger is so laid back with his tiki sleeveless T-shirt.

The fire twirler comes out again with two batons...with the dancers.

This DVD is done BEAUTIFULLY!

After the show they talked to people in the crowd. One guy says he was at Vegas, Anaheim and Hawaii. Someone says they came all the way from Chicago. Some very appreciative comments...

"Jimmy Rocked."

"Come back...we love you."

I don't know who the guys are but they sing Tiny Bubbles in a van with a uke, while they show shots of Jimmy surfing. He has on a great floral shirt.

The reason that this DVD did not come with the “handwritten” set list is because it is a combination of the two shows and so there was no real set list.

Is there a complete track listing on the back cover or does it just have that “Featuring…” thing like the other four Tiki albums?

"Featuring"

That can be quite a pain if you want to skip to a specific song, but then again with Auburn and Vegas I listened to them from start to finish, so I never really encountered the problem.

I don't get that though... Is it that hard for Mailboat to include a complete listing?

there's a list on the Mailboat web site. been meaning to copy it. I suppose it's possible that the final CD set list for Hawaii wasn't settled upon when they went to print with the CD cover.

Even more fun than the "Featuring"-like track listing on the CDs is the deluxe pacaking of the DVD.

My DVD arrived separately from the CDs. It was packaged in a beautfiul, white CD sleeve, complete with fold down flap and a clear window for viewing the DVD label. Free of titles and words and void of color, this packaging is a dream to the budding Jimmy Buffett album/DVD cover artist. Perhaps one amongst us can be more creative Mailboat.

And I love the time they put into DVD menu and navigation. Oh wait! That's right. There isn't one. You simply pop the DVD in and away you go. I now see why it took 6 months to create, edit and master this multimedia masterpiece (not!).

Okay, enough complaining. The CDs are great (as I've already mentioned here and on my site). The DVD is fun, too. I was thrilled to see a live performance of Great Heart and I love the version of Volcano with Henry Kapono (whose name is spelled wrong on Mailboat's web site). The surfing pix at the end are cool, too.

Yep, it'll certainly last longer than the two beers I bought at Tweeter Center last night for $20 - but at least they did come in the guitar shaped yard glass...

Can't wait to pop this in the DVD player.
