Just got my Soundscan report for the week and LTC is #11. Also, Big and Rich knocked JB out of the #1 Country spot.
Who's Big and Rich? I'm assuming this is a nickname for some fat guy who has millions....but I'm not up on country music.meisinger wrote:Just got my Soundscan report for the week and LTC is #11. Also, Big and Rich knocked JB out of the #1 Country spot.
No. Big and Rich is a "country act" whose hook is they mix country and rap. Their current single is "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy." I'll keep my opinoin to myself on them.dean_siu wrote:Who's Big and Rich? Well, if you won't say it, I will. Big and Rich s***.No. Big and Rich is a "country act" whose hook is they mix country and rap. Their current single is "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy." I'll keep my opinoin to myself on them.
Country music overall sucks....thats why they are resorting to acts like Jimmy (who is not really country) and incorportating rap into it with these guys.....anything to try and save a dying genre of musicGumbo wrote:Well, if you won't say it, I will. Thanks! That's down about 15,000, compared to a decline of 24,000 the previous week. In absolute terms that's the smallest loss so far. It appears that sales are starting to stabilize a bit. Hopefully we'll see some improvement as Trip Around The Sun starts getting more airplay.meisinger wrote:62,405
I would hardly say that country music as a whole sucks. True, some of the commercially successful artists leave something to be desired, but quality music can still be found on the air from acts like George Strait, Alan Jackson and others. And there is a TON of great country music out there that isn't being played.dean_siu wrote:Country music overall sucks....thats why they are resorting to acts like Jimmy (who is not really country) and incorportating rap into it with these guys.....anything to try and save a dying genre of musicGumbo wrote:Well, if you won't say it, I will. My thoughts exactlyjollymon345 wrote:The Big and Rich song is not too bad but the video should be nominated for Video of the Year. It has all the things that makes a video great:
1. The song has a good hook.
2. A marching Band.
3. Hot Women.
4. Plastic Doll.
5. Hot half-naked women shaking things for the camera. Yummy!
6. A midget with an umbrella.
What is not to like about the video. Did I mention hot women.?
